小笠原流の本家は決して流鏑馬を職業にしない様ですね。確か企業の研究者だそうです。決して商売にしない考え感動しました。

馬の乗り方が西洋とは違い日本式の武術になっている。日本人の武道では体幹が大切な要素になっているのが分かる。
バカみたいな「日本特別論者」「日本最高論者」だな。そんなもの東西問わずユーラシア騎馬民族の常識だ。こんなテーマではこういう無知な思い上がりがすぐ現れるところに、日本がまだ井の中の蛙なのが分る。

While European people were still wearing loin clothes and using bronze weapons, Japan mastered steel and was cultured with amazing foods. Amazing architecture. Belief systems. Clothes, weapons. Just an amazing people. The quality to this day of the products coming out of Japan is unbelievable. There vehicles known for getting several hundreds of thousands of miles, there history is so amazing ❤

同じ鎌倉で鶴岡八幡宮で流鏑馬が見られますよ。八幡宮の横にある中学校に通っていたので流鏑馬の練習風景はよく見かけました。懐かしい。

How is it that the Body is not Jumping up and down .How?
You don't sit down in the saddle, but you stand in the stirrup amd hover a few centimeters over the saddle. This way your legs balance out the movement of the horse and your upper body doesn't move much up and down :)
Is it an art or rather a sport? Or maybe something else?

Why do they carry the arrows on the hip? It looks very inefficient.
If you pick the arrow from the hip, you'll need an extra step to reposition the fingers to the end of the arrow in order to shoot.
I think a much more efficient way to carry the arrows is on your back. And you draw your arrow by holding the end of the arrow.
That way your finger is already at the correct place when you draw the arrow.
Let me give you an example of what I mean :

In actual combat, samurai wear heavy armor that makes it difficult to reach their backs.

流鏑馬と言うと一瞬を逃さない激しさだけが思い浮かびますが、この動画で、案外その心は激しさより静謐さにあるのではという思いが浮かびました。「草もえる鎌倉」という言葉に刺激をうけて作ってみた素人の一首です。
昔の武士は普通出来た事。
神事にする必要無し
