Video and content are good, but the meta commentary of yourself and the video took me out. It would have stood fine on it's own without that. Other than that, good job!
~ 2:00 The strength of any given material is usually calculated by a few things. One, how easily can it bend? Two, how much can it bend without sustaining permanent damage? And three, if it can shatter, how much permanent damage can it sustain before shattering? The roads might be hard to bend, but their attachment points aren't. If the roads were tied tightly between both sides of the bridge, the roads themselves would have had to hold up all the weight of the vehicle. However, because the roads can move freely to some extent, like a rope bridge, much of the force that would break the roads instead moves the roads. You can see this as the bridge bending instead of breaking. At least, that's what I got from it.
"you cant just steal from summoning salt" thank you, I wish more people who did this kind of content would not just copy him and instead put their own twist to it
1:36 It's the same as on Bridge constructor. Every joint of the bridge is allowed to flex very slightly (except concrete in BCon.) The allows most parts to move around, otherwise the physics engine wouldn't work. This means if you have many many joints, with parts as short as possible, that flexion can take up a lot of slack. A bridge with no supports, made of 1m long pieces of road almost like a rope bridge will not break. Steel road pieces require a higher stress/load measurement before their joint(s) fail. It's possible to get some very budget bridges with just this technique. Now, the weight of the pieces themselves add to and hard caps the limit of that strategy. Wood has a very limited stretch load max compared to steel too so sometimes some of the bridges are genuinely better to make with wood and conventional means. That same abuse of the stretching of joints on the physics engine makes flexible bridges with an underslung set of cables (As you called the banana bridge) (which ofc. have the highest stretch load max and a lighter mass) possible and highly effective. Even vs the trucks. The only issues arise when the cars or trucks can't get enough traction to climb the other side. The same design/limitations of the physics engine are in Poly bridge. The sections/parts do not flex, their joints slide around a little like springs. It doesn't react identically with BCon.'s engine but it's the same underlying engine process.
Only 5.5k subs is criminal, not only did you save any and all promo til the end but you also had hilarious jokes sprinkled in, you’ll go far if you keep this format ,subbed.
You pull up to the river. You stop your vehicle and wonder where the bridge your GPS says should be right here is. Then, some guy drops a huge bundle of wood on your car and launches it across the river.
0:23 This is why i Don't play A Hat in Time anymore... they added a Leaderboard and now its just a Competition... it used to just be a Fun Platformer but now its just a Competition game...
I always thought this game had a simple premise: build a bridge and make vehicles cross a gap through that bridge. But seeing vehicles launched into the air by falling debris/bridges, rubber banded into the sky with improvised 'cannons', hurled like a fucking frisbee, go through wobbly bridges that defy physics is the last thing I expect to happen from this casual game - and seeing how players exploit this is nothing short of amazing. I don't know how you got on my recommended, but I am glad you appeared. Looking to more similar content takes on how players 'break' games as casual as PolyBridge. Commented, liked, and subbed for the algorithm's favor.
I always thought they needed a way for bridges to be progressively challenged by heavier and heavier loads. You get a budget, and the goal should be to build the bridge that holds up the best within the range of tests it is slated for for the best budget. You could also make lists that take into account vehicle durability.
man, remembering the time i grinded to get top 10 in most of the levels, took like not even a month before i was wiped down to like 100th or lower for a majority, gave up the grind after a few months, props to some of the top the players for sticking to that grind

Optimization in this game is architectural slapstick comedy.
I'm certain this was done out of a passion for this specific game. But the script writing and editing/audio quality was fantastic.
I hope you continue to make videos with this quality and passion. Definitely earned a sub
That was the best self-promo I’ve ever seen.
Video and content are good, but the meta commentary of yourself and the video took me out. It would have stood fine on it's own without that. Other than that, good job!
Why are the flying cars so funny HELP😭
I started dying laughing at the summoning salt bit and kept me entertained through the whole video! Great work man 😎🙌
~ 2:00 The strength of any given material is usually calculated by a few things.
Precision dropped bridges are an example of why I prefer to stick to the condition of the bridge not breaking.
that outro had be hallucinate in the 29th dimension 😋
the world needs more hall of the mountain king montages
Literally turn the video to 1.25x speed. Much more enjoyable. It even seems like it was slowed down intentionally to 0.75
He definitely slowed it down for runtime or something
imagine finishing school, getting on the bus, then seeing a piece of road falling onto the hood right before you shoot forward at mach 10
The health and safety inspector having a fit upon seeing the proposals for these bridges
The moment you whipped out the summoning salt music and approach I knew this would be amazing. Keep it up man!
"you cant just steal from summoning salt" thank you, I wish more people who did this kind of content would not just copy him and instead put their own twist to it
If bridges worked like this irl. If only.
You know you can just, play the game and ignore the leaderboard right?
13:23 Fathom, Minecat and Alex are sitting pretty sus in that graph =D
Nice video =)
Great flow of the video! That Hall of the Mountain King montage at the end was definitely earned!
documentary on how politicians steal money on bridges when we can use flying cars with precision throwed roads
I was not expecting that this is your first video, good job
I'm surprised it's thought of as a casual game.
That intro got a thumbs-up from me.
You know how to poke fun in the best of ways.
this gives me og wirtual vibes and I’m all for it!
that banter at the end made me smile
Speedrunners and people like these just BLOW MY MIND... they are amazing.
A summoning salt video is literally the next recommended video for me
when ever I here the summoning salt music, you know it’s a good video.
Loved the video! And hadn't seen anyone before do this! Hope you continue here
Also you gotta do a poly bridge 3 vid sometime in the future
best youtube outro i have ever seen 😂
keep up with these kinds of videos, you are gonna do well! :)
Watched the vid and immediately subbed - I am in shock that you only have 2.5k subs. You should be at LEAST at 25k, if not more. Keep it going!!
I always thought they needed a way for bridges to be progressively challenged by heavier and heavier loads. You get a budget, and the goal should be to build the bridge that holds up the best within the range of tests it is slated for for the best budget.
You could also make lists that take into account vehicle durability.
Gimme a bit i just found this, i gotta binge the channel real quick
man, remembering the time i grinded to get top 10 in most of the levels, took like not even a month before i was wiped down to like 100th or lower for a majority, gave up the grind after a few months, props to some of the top the players for sticking to that grind
This video has a really well written script. Nicely done!
WOW, after watching intently, I will now shower u with praise and adoration for the wonderful video before subscribing on UA-cam. good job!
Thought this was gonna be a tiny little video, heard the summoning salt music and then I was hooked.
Dude is the Wirtual of Polybridge
Watching this video, I had only two modes:
1. "What in the f***..."
2. Weird noises and laughing
