I always have liked the AMF systems better than Brunswick a-2s because they are much more gentle on balls. My new ball is all scarred up from an A2 at the bowling alley I worked at as a mechanic. Our company was always replacing balls for customers or having our pro shop "resurface" balls which only makes them smaller. I had certain bowlers with undersized balls (resurfaced) and I had to put extra springs on the lift rods to prevent calls! I had 31 other lanes to take care of and I couldn't keep babysitting one lane when there's so much to be done. Love AMF!

Funny I had the opposite problem I prefer the A-2 over AMF for there longevity
