#bowling #AlfonsoCarringtonIII #sports I got the chance to record up close again, hope the view is good! If not let me know in the comments. • Brunswick A-2 Pinsette...
If you would have walked into one of the dozen or so Wichita, KS bowling centers that were operating in the 1980's or early 1990's, you would have had a VERY good chance of seeing the 1980's Brunswick masking units. I bowled youth tournaments during the early-mid '90s at two of those centers with said masking units -- and AMF 82-30 pinspotters. Perhaps Brunswick was giving out "bulk discounts" back then? 😂
The metal clanging sound is pins falling into the pinwheel (a metal wheel that picks up fallen pins) watch the pins rolling to the back and you'll see what you're hearing
Why the AMF masking? A-2s are rough on my new ball. It got scarred up my first time out with because of the way the A-2s ball wheel work! Love AMF systems for that!
Most likely a Brunswick center that was part of the buyout by AMF. It is odd to ser Brunswick A2 with AMF masking units. Thats the business these days.
@@TheBowlerYT Did they just mix and match whatever used equipment they could find? Seems odd to have the AMF logo on the cover plate with the Brunswick machines....
@@TheBowlerYT The Brunswick A2 spotting table is very distinctive, hard to miss. Potentially a very dangerous machine - it's extremely heavy and comes down with a lot of force. Have you seen the video of someone using an A2 to crush an aluminum can?
I have been working in bowling centers since late 1970 and it is strange to see an AMF masking unit and a Brunswick pinsetter together.
Believe me, I said the EXACT SAME THING
@@TheBowlerYT a lot more common than you may think. I've also seen the reverse as well.
@@pbatommy definitely never seen that
@TheBowlerYT that's bc amf bought out all the brunswick bowling alleys years ago

@keithchrysler3732 trust me I thought the same about amf machines, turns out it comes down to the mechanic and cleaning the pit area
They must have found that rake board in a landfill
Who knows😆

I believe you're correct🎳
Did this center originally have AMF machines that were replaced by Brunswick?
I don't think so, I think they've always had these machines in🤣

@@jeffcoat1959 I know right!!!
I pointed it out and I w a s tokd they were amf machines but I knew they were brunswick machines.
@@TheBowlerYT guess they thought they were AMF A2's ? LOL 🤣

At 10:45 the 9 pin was not there.
Definitely why I didn't strike🤣
Good eye (:
Isn't there usually 20 pins per lane?
Usually but if an alley is cheap they'll put in less.
It could also be due to broken pins
That A2 needs more clean up
True true, the end pairs are always neglected lol
They need new shield new rake new wall also the new pin
Pins yes, wall yes, why new shield?
@@TheBowlerYT its starting to get rust
@@jonathansandy2192 that's fair
What was this proprietor thinking? Those masking units should be masked.
Lol
Moreover, they should be AMF systems!
that a2 rake is in really bad shape worse one iv seen yet
