- Sir Keir Starmer has branded Liz Truss’s economic plans as “immoral” following the government’s mini budget.
Speaking to Labour members at an annual conference in Liverpool on 26 September, the party leader criticised the prime minister’s trickle-down economic strategies and new tax cuts announced last week.

I really want to believe Starmer as like most of us I just want rid of the wretched Tories!! The biggest problem Starmer has is winning seats off the tories, so he needs to adjust his policies to reflect that. Blair was a bang centre leader with policies that leaned both to the left and right... But I think Starmer sits to the centre left so I suspect his policies would shift that way. Far left would never work, just as the same that far right currently isn't working.
