Thank you for demonstrating the on/off switch so we can hear the hum of the pump! I just bought a '72 bus that has an electric fuel pump installed (up till now I've only messed with mechanical pumps on VWs). At first I didn't know what the heck that humming noise was. Then when I figured it out I was worried that maybe it was the pump getting ready to fail, but it seems like the sound is pretty normal :) I don't have an on/off switch for it, but I might install one at some point. What a relief!
Btw, this set up is still going strong. I've had the Webber fine tuned on the dyno and its running better than ever. It's a daily driver and very fuel efficient.
thanks ..this really helped me alot .... car wouldnt start .... located the fuel pump and saw the ground wasnt connected after i removed my fender ....
Thanks, forgot to mention, its a rebuilt 1600 TP with a stroker crank. it handles the carb beautifly, been on the road for months now without a hickup.
Hi. Just wondering what you ended up with as your final jetting?. I am running a single 40 idf on my 1904cc, 110 cam, stock heads and 009. Slight hesitation under acceleration with 60idles, 120 airs, 135 mains, and 65 acc pumps.
Hi great video .it really helps . I have a standard 1500 vw kombi with standard carb .i have moved the petrol tank from the back up to the front of my bus so i need a pump . My Q is . Did you use or need a pressure regulator . Because it was recommended to me but i don't see you used one ? Cheers mate
The pump I got was recommended by CB performance to go with the Weber. I did install a gauge but my mechanic said to take it off, just another device that could complicate the fuel line. He was right, didn’t need it.
Hi. I'm 17 and have a 1968 beetle. My fuel pump was dumping gasoline so my big brother bought an electric pump and wired it just enough to see if it worked. It works but we have no idea where to actually mount it. The engine still stock. Was the way you mounted it hard or is there a way to mount it in with the engine?
It was easy to mount behind the tank. both to get wiring to it, and for access while the wheel is off. it needs to be lower than the tank level, you can also mount it closer to the engine where the fuel line exits the centre shaft thingy.

I haven't been able to find that air filter size. What kind is it, if you don't mind me asking.
Do u get Carburetor overflading with the electric pump connection. Maphiri from South Africa. Thanx for the information.

why is there no idle screw . good job
bobcooli17 hi, there is. It’s on the left side of the Webber.
it mounts to the same place as the mechanical
