As a person with a good ear and as someone who has taken voice lessons for an extended time, you have phenomenal control of your voice and you are an amazing teacher. I love your video series. Please continue on for a long time with your incredible videos. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
He has amazing control. Have you heard Justin's range and how different he can make his voice sound. You got see this. ua-cam.com/video/tnSSp3R9Wd8v/v-deo.htmle
Justin, I love your videos, your great attitude and your sense of humor. You are very inspiring and a beautiful person. The world of voice students and the world in general is lucky to have you. Thank you so much for all you do :-)
I had very tired, exhausted and flamming speaking voice for about 2 years beacause of ignoring these tips I am really thankful to you, and I will keep on yawning and stretching to fix what I have lost
People like Justin just kill me --people who can smile WHILE they are talking. It's a real nice feature. Myself, guilty of RBF, and it doesn't seem to change much when i talk! You're my new role model!!
Vórtex de Versos e Vetores Thank you for your encouragement Vortex! It's a great blessing and privilege to serve singers and speakers all across the world! :)
Thanks, I really needed this video! I've studied singing for 6 years and improved a lot but still when I speak I sound like a door opening really slowly. Great.
im a vocal coach and I think you are amazing man! the way you explain all these things and your attitude is a gift to your students and your followers. I would love to share with you my ideas :)
I speak with tension, too high of a pitch, and shallow and throaty. And then I sing with support and less tension. Dr Jeckle and Mr Hyde (spelling?). You wouldn't think its the same person. I already knew this, but your video is excellent. I'll work on speaking with support and with a slightly lower pitch!
Great tutorial, and rhetorical very vell done. I really like the fluent style you do this, one of the best signs for good integration and the lack of tension!
thanks for this video. I am practicing for 2 years regularly. i am not getting the tone i need, feel like giving up. i feel sometimes was singing better previously also i started really late in life
I always felt insecure about my voice because of negative feedback I got from family and friends, but your videos are so encouraging and give me courage to share my voice :-)
Yes, the voice is amazing. Keep on doing what your're doing. It only gets better, especially if you keep watching these videos and doing Justin's lessons. Did you know that Justin now has a vocal training course: voicelessonstotheworld.com/page/vocal_course -NYVC
Hi Justin I am from a small town in north Georgia. Thank you so much for all the great tips you have given to the world . I've used your tips over the summer and have been blown away at the results I have gotten when ever I sing alone . You have molded me from a shy timid singer to a power house !!! I cant sing without turning head's :-) :-)
Thank you so much for your great lessons. They all have such gems of information presented in a way that's so well explained. Greetings from Australia.
I laughed with number 4 😂 So accurate. I actually found myself talking like that to stop speaking so loudly. As I've been told, I speak too loud, I identified with 7 😅 But ever since I started speaking better but not louder I had a slight improvement in my singing and feeling more comfortable! Love your videos 👐
Hey man, I just found your channel a few days ago and I just wanted to say that I love your videos! You're so enthusiastic and informative, you make it fun to watch. This video in particular has really helped me out a lot. I've always felt insecure about my speaking voice. People have said it's strange since I was a kid. I didn't know what they were talking about until I heard my voice recorded, and I couldn't believe what I heard. I used a lot vocal fry, a southern accent, and I was hard to understand. I hated it! I've worked on my voice since then, and I've come a long way. I still unintentionally use a lot of vocal fry when I'm trying to speak quietly. Still haven't figured that out yet.. But overall, this video has helped me speak more clearly and be more confident. So I just wanted to say thanks!
Hey Justin. Thank you for making all these videos, I look forward to each one. I was wondering if you could could make a video about sub-harmonics? Thank you again, Ian.
You're one of my favorite singing coaches, I've always loved to sing since I was a kid and people encourage me to do it all the time; Thanks for your advices bro.
Four octaves. Cool! Have you heard Justin's range and how different he can make his voice sound. You got see this. Amazing: ua-cam.com/video/tnSSp3R9Wd8v/v-deo.htmle
hey man, I just saw you on UA-cam and seriously you're doing amazing things. I love that... By the way, can you give us some techniques of singing bass or making your voice sounds deeper or vocal exercises for bass singers. or let say the right way of singing bass without straining your voice
You are my favorite online vocal coach, Mr. Stoney. Thank you so much for everything that you do. Is there any way to donate to you without paying for a full lesson?
Transient Wonderboy This is an exceedingly kind thought. UA-cam does allow this, but we've opted to keep the show completely non-profit as a service to singers worldwide. However, you may be interested in purchasing the VLTTW Vocal Course. This is a way to support the work that we do at New York Vocal Coaching and also you get a product that hopefully benefits your voice greatly! So, that's something to consider! In any case, thank you so much for your immense kindness!
I've always been a quiet talker and there sometimes is a strain when trying to speak louder and I wonder, are some people just naturally quiet singers?
Some people are naturally louder than others, but you can probably be louder than you realize with proper training. It shouldn't feel forced. I'd say "allow" yourself to be louder, rather then "trying" to be louder. I bet you were louder as a child. Perhaps you forgot how. -NYVC
To increase your range you'll need the correct exercises. I'd suggest Justin's vocal training course: voicelessonstotheworld.com/page/vocal_course It's fabulous.
I'm a lowish bass-baritone. How can I increase the volume of my low notes? My range is Db2-E4, but at F2 and below I find it hard to sing those low notes loud, and they sound airy when I go F2 and below (not vocal fry).

Fritz selena gomez
hi justin I am enjoy for watching your movie. Will you explain vocal range in the future and can you talk about how to improve it? thx
To increase your range you'll need the correct exercises. I'd suggest Justin's vocal training course: voicelessonstotheworld.com/page/vocal_course It's fabulous.
Love tip number 7
You are so brilliant!!!
Amazing!
😄😄😄 -NYVC
Wonderful video! :)
Awesome! your sooo cool!
My jaw tends to get tight sometimes. After trying the tongue stretch from side to side my jaw feels suddenly very free. 😮
keep pressing the lows!😎
Thank you (: High vibes ^~^
Thank YOU Nicky!!! 🎶 -NYVC
I'm a lowish bass-baritone. How can I increase the volume of my low notes? My range is Db2-E4, but at F2 and below I find it hard to sing those low notes loud, and they sound airy when I go F2 and below (not vocal fry).
Tip #7 😭😭❤️🙌🏼
So beautiful😭 He gives some great tips! -NYVC
I never realised how lazy my speaking voice was until I watched this Video.
I am a female and I have such a low voice because i just let myself fall into that voice but that seems to be very common amongst Australians, I am now trying to speak at a higher pitch and I can already feel the difference!!
Question though, is it normal to have your nose close up when you sing? i feel lile it is limiting my range drastically because i can hum with a larger range than what i can sing.
Perfect! Nice to know we have choices! -NYVC
I am Australian too and I have only just realised how lazy my voice is too! Must be apart of our culture hahaha
I came for voice tips and got that but I also got life advice
We're so glad you enjoyed it, Honi! -NYVC
I used to have a deeper speaking voice BEFORE getting necessary tonsillectomy surgery from chronic tonsilitis. Now when I speak it's harder to project in a low voice, so I unmeaningly speak higher so people can hear me. I want to be able to speak in my natural register so people can hear me, and so I don't strain speaking too high. Could this be corrected by vocal lessons, or would I need to see a speech specialist? My voice seems fatigued often and can get hoarse. Thank you!
Hi Suji! You can definitely find help for that! A Speech Coach or Voice Teacher should be able to help you work through those new challenges! -NYVC
1:15 I laughed way too hard at that lmfao
Why do my vocal teacher makes me do some exercices like a yawn voice what diference makes doing it "normally"
Iago jogando jogos Remember - this is an extreme coordination. We would never actually sing or speak through a yawn. The exercise is to assist in finding a low larynx. It should be used in moderation and only as an exercise. But, if used in this context, it can be very effective for learning to not raise and squeeze the larynx. Enjoy!
New York Vocal Coaching Thank you! :D
