WWE 2K23 ● How To Get Sliders & AI Tendencies Working In Universe Mode

- This has to be a glitch in WWE 2K23, however if you set your sliders BEFORE starting Universe Mode, they carry over into the mode. Anytime you make any changes, sadly you'll have to start over again with a new Universe save.

You're definitely breaking the game down nicely bro. But I've realised this, the human/cpu additional finisher pin value is 2k's robotic way of saying Recently used finisher pin value.
Basically if you want matches to pretty much end by finishers only, then setting this to 100 and having post-kick out damage recovery no lower than 40 will make the finisher that has just been used have the most significant effect on the pin flag and bar.
If post-kick out damage (which is a nonsense name) is too low then no move will ever finish the game and if its too high an Irish whip can done you. Overall difficulty affects everything I mentioned so on easy and using those settings one finisher could finish Roman Reigns but on legendary at least two are needed
Note: For finisher history and 3+ finisher, if these are too high then a normal strong grapple can win the match if you/cpu. For example if you have taken 3 finishers and then take a suplex and get pinned it will be really hard to kickout of that pin even though the most recent move was not a finisher
If true (and it seems true with the new wording) this is the best explanation I've seen to date.

Love this channel all the information is very helpful, I used custom settings in showcase mode and got everything unlocked in record time the last match in showcase took around 40 seconds to win, thank you for the content you put out, I am going to see if custom sliders work in my rise
Also, unfortunately since this is such a niche issue, I doubt 2K will fix it. Most people don't obsessively tinker with the sliders like we do. most just change the difficulty and a couple other things like blood and call it a day. They never fixed tag finishers in 2K22, and I feel like that was a much more well known issue.
I'm glad I saw this before starting Universe (even though I had setup my calendar with new events!), or I'd be pissed.
So I noticed when you change the difficulty from legend to normal/hard the AI responds better

Also I think it does carry over because I took the dive attacks off from Omos movesets and he doesn’t dive in UM now

Think this still applies in 2K24, I'm having trouble getting my submission sliders to be detected in Universe Mode when I adjust them.
This makes me sad. I thought I was finally able to play Universe mode this year 🤦♂️ It seems like there's many things that trigger a Universe reset. Like starting a rivalry for example.
Another issue I’m having is Bron Breaker no longer barks during his entrance. Is it cause I have too many images/caws? Did I bug the game out
Oh thats actually what I ended up doing before starting my universe… I guess that’s why I didn’t have that slider problem.
Correct. The glitch is that we cannot make further changes to that universe mode save slot. You have to start all over again each time.

Is this happening just after the new patch that came out today? My sliders work okay in universe but I haven't played since the new patch
I actually just noticed the ai tendencies thing hopefuly it makes my universe mode better i dont know if youve got any adivice about growing a universe mode channel but ive been struggling to find adivice to get better videos
I'm not good at UA-cam tips, but the main basics for any channel, usually is consistency, and getting a decent mic.
unfortunately because of this glitch, I've had to resort to playing universe in exhibition mode. kills some immersion but now i have a lot more freedom. i tinker too much with sliders to commit to a single set and i mainly just play universe cause i love booking and writing storylines. 2K22 universe mode was so much better, it's actually laughable how bad 2k23's is.

That's so odd as I don't have these issues at all. I can adjust attributes and sliders just fine. But what issue I do have is randomly my UM doesn't recognise changes to wrestlers move sets and paybacks.
Hopefully the next patch sorts this stuff because it's ridiculous by now
Hmmm, that's interesting. The best way to tell if sliders work is change the flag speed of pins for all 3 sliders to 0 and see when you get pinned if the green / red bar moves or stays still. I just checked mine and I have to reset my entire universe mode each time I make changes.
@@AllThingsWrasslin I actually did that before I saw your video. Worked totally fine. Had the big green bar not moving and everything. Had the same Universe slot since day one

I downloaded a light weight superstar which am tryin to test the weight detection then I go to his ai tendency lower all his power grapple and other tendency then I went to his strength lower is strength then try a match with him to see if hes still lifting or doing a ddt to a heavy weight with his legs and he was actually still lifting things he isn't supposed to .the weight detection is bs in 2kwwe games.

No 😂 I use background weather sounds as I hate dead silence. I find it more relaxing.
Doesn't work for me in Superstar mode. Had all of my sliders and everything set before starting my universe mode (Superstar, not classic) and none of my pin sliders carried over. Every other setting seems to have worked, but not pin sliders.
I made a new video, basically if your match is 1 on 1 normal, or if it's not and you edit your match to whatever you want, pin sliders always work, at least for me and a few others. I'm on PS5 / Xbox.
This is off topic, but I'm pretty ssure the rollout features been taken out of the game. The one featured in multi-man matches with the meter.

Editing your match in universe mode seems to have all sliders working as of the latest update.
Sliders working in a rivalry matches in one on one but not in a normal matches or tag team matches i am not sure about tag team rivalries and BTW i am on pc and my game version is 1.08.
So for me I have rivalries off, and so long as my matches are 1 on 1 normal matches, or I make any edit to my matches in Universe mode, my sliders now always work on PS5 and Xbox.
If I would have known this I wouldn't have bought the game. Universe mode was the only reason to put up with the bad gameplay changes they made to the series. Last game I owned before this was 2k19. This just makes it not worth playing. Guys are kicking out of finishers way too many times in a single match.
That can be remedied by altering post kickout damage slider. I have it so after 2 finishers, they're toast, and that includes if I'm finished twice as well. Overall, with the sliders working when editing your match before playing in Universe, I do like this over 2K22. I still have 2K19, just because it's the last of it's kind.
Will it still work if I quit universe mode ?
It's still wonky, and not stable. It sometimes work, sometimes doesn't based on certain parameters.

When your settings are reset in universe mode it works but when i stimulate one match or jump to another show in universe mode then again the pin starts moving and all the settings made to sliders are again gone ...
SMH. I saw my pin bar moving again, though I’m unsure if the other sliders are working or not.
I hope we can get a solution of this moving timed pin bar in universe mode .

Nop, i even think it's worse now. Before 1.10 my universe was fine, every slider working as it should, after the update the IA kicks out at 2 no matter how many finishers has received.
Is this workaround working? Or is it flawed? Thanks
