I literally only stopped wearing the berls because of the amount of pebbles that got stuck in the outsole
I returned my pair cuz I tore the side stitching open, In 3 hours doing 100 ollies. Anyone know how to get your foot sliding up more to the front of your shoe???
CY OM stick an extra insole that’s thin in your shoe. Or get a smaller size. Or double up on socks in the winter

I swear the pebbles are annoying and another thing is they rip so bad there’s no duracap underneath at all plus the amount of heel bruises these gave me probably won’t skate them again the shoe is just weird asf only thing I enjoyed about these is how snug they fit
Vans makes shitty shoes for the price. Not so comfortable, not that durable. Also all the new shoes are ugly

Realy nice Video 🎉 so i Skate the berle for 8 weeks and its my fav shoe since then the flick is amazing and the durability is not bad only thing i dont like is the outsole
I just got a pair of berles about a week or two ago and I was waiting for a good review for them and I'm suprised that you didn't like them but I can definitely tell they fit much differently than any other van's I've worn and wow this is a long run on sentence

I’ve had these shoes for almost 3 months now and I don’t skate really hard but I skate everyday and do a lot of flip tricks and theyve held up really good I didn’t even need to put like shoe goo on and I like the board feel as weel

I have a pair I've been walking in and they feel different. They fit like a sock and as someone with a wider foot it was comfortable. The shoes offer some arch support but it's minimal. I know now that I should just stick to chilling in them.

Only flaw I had was not having the removable insoles.felt my foot was sliding around too much. Kudos 🤙
I skated the Berle and I really enjoyed them, at first it was hard to flick but I got used to it. The thing I hated the most tho is that in literally every hole for the grip pebbles got stuck inside so I’d have to pick them out with tooth picks

I want to buy a skate shoes. Should i go for the berle pro or the chima pro? Anyone help?
I’m pretty new to skateboarding and am probably somewhere between beginner and intermediate (I can do small ollies while moving, tic tac at speed, and landed my first stationary shove it). I bought these shoes the other day for a decent price (with the virus and all and had a chance to try them out for a couple of hours yesterday. Given these were my first skate shoes, compared to the Chuck Taylor’s I had worn out, they were a vast improvement. I have wide feet so I like the roominess of the vans, but I was even able to try a heelflip, and for the first time I actually was able to get the board to spin 360 after the pop (I learnt the technique for the heelflip early just so I could start trying it every now and then with the hope of getting a little closer each time). These shoes are fine IMO unless you a) need different skate shoe types for different situations, b) have a specific type of skate shoe that you are used to.

I wonder how you'd like the NB 379's with Footprint insoles swapped in. Hell, NB stock insoles on their vulcanized shoes are already pretty good.
Would you recommend going down a half size than normal for these?
I probably use these shoes for style but nice review
for me this shoe is so comfortable. i was able to lock my kickflips, 360 flips easily. definitely gonna buy again for sure

1/2 inch deep is probs shock absorber, but still good board feel , got some DC Evan Smiths with the same concept

Been skating them for a while and I think the weight of the shoe doubled from the amount of pebbles that have collected in the soles. Also the toe cap seemed to of held up pretty well considering I haven't torn through it, the middle of the shoe has been pretty weak tearing the laces and ripping a large enough hole in the side that i rip my sock when I ollie and heel flip. They did however last pretty long.

Holes in the outsole are for cushioning. They should kinda fill up with air when you land
it definitely feels like a gimmick to me

You should give the emerica spanky's a try. They have the sane sole the Reynolds G6 had, and those are my favorite skate shoe I've skated in my adult life. Convinced me I should only buy signature shoes from 40 year old skateboarders.

They truly are overhyped. I thought they were good, I'm a huge Vans guy, got a shitload of pairs, like around 30. Let's be honest, Vans Pro models are very similar, some models are a bit better some a bit worse. I love how they look but are overall terrible skate shoes.
They are really good from my experience love the way they feel and skate. Especially for kickflips

funny thing, the outsole doesnt work as well in a bmx bike even, they are super hard to break in totally, they feel too stiff
