- This video features "AI Hank" singing the Dan Tyminski parts. He and Hank sound similar enough that the cover is reasonably accurate, but maybe too similar in that it doesn't change much from the original. Wish Hank would have done this one for real, seems like it would have suited him well.
Consider this, richard Bennett wrote the song in 1916, hank was born in 1932 and he lived until 1952... There could have been a time when Hank would have sung this song... So, there are songs that hank could have covered, this one would've been one of them.
1923 to 1953
Hank was born in 23not 32
They ai technology
There is an older version of this song but it's not this fast
He probably did sing it sometime in his life when he was just sitting around or something. Maybe idk
I've always wondered what it would sound like if Hank Williams had ever recorded this song. Thank you for crossing off my bucket list. Don't ever stop what you are doing.
Thanks for the kind note! Whenever I play this one myself I kind of imitate Hank's singing, so it was a natural thing to try with AI. (The AI sounds better though, especially with Tyminski's awesome guitar playing, haha).
Man of sorrows, Lamb of God By His own betrayed The sin of man and wrath of God Has been on Jesus laid Silent as He stood accused Beaten, mocked, and scorned Bowing to the Father's will He took a crown of thorns Oh, that rugged cross, my salvation Where Your love poured out over me Now my soul cries out, "Hallelujah" "Praise and honour unto Thee" Sent of heaven God's own Son To purchase and redeem And reconcile the very ones Who nailed Him to that tree Oh, that rugged cross, my salvation Where Your love poured out over me Now my soul cries out, "Hallelujah" "Praise and honour unto Thee" Now my debt is paid It is paid in full By the precious blood That my Jesus spilled Now the curse of sin Has no hold on me Whom the Son sets free Oh, is free indeed Now my debt is paid It is paid in full By the precious blood That my Jesus spilled Now the curse of sin Has no hold on me Whom the Son sets free Oh, is free indeed Oh, that rugged cross my salvation Where Your love poured out over me Now my soul cries out, "Hallelujah" "Praise and honour unto Thee" See the stone is rolled away Behold the empty tomb Hallelujah, God be praised He's risen from the grave Oh, that rugged cross my salvation Where Your love poured out over me Now my soul cries out, "Hallelujah" "Praise and honour unto Thee" "Praise and honour unto Thee"
I think it sounds a lot like Hank, and I listen to a lot of Hank!

Hank singing Straight Outta Compton is one of the reasons AI covers were created. 😂
Fellers with attitude. 😂
Wouldn't have been able to tell the difference from a real recording. Nice!
peak ai music... no doubt 🙏☮🕊🕊🕊
i'd speed this up slightly... [maybe minor dub step] and ***DEF!!!! bring up the accompaniment
This is amazing; definitely a use of AI I can enjoy. You say you have more like this posted??? Hold my beer....😁
Can I drink your beer.. ?😅😅😅😅🍺
That's incredible! Great job!
Don't encourage them
If Hank had lived, he might have tried his hand in bluegrass.
Would have sounded great I bet.
immediate chills
Bad to the bone
I...I...can't hate this
songs like this make me thing, we just might be a-alright under our AI overlords
Fuggin hilarious!
😆👍
yeah, like chickens, we'll cluck away our days in the sun.
If Hank the third,Hanks grandson would do this song you wouldn t need to wonder or use AI
True, don't need AI if you have a family member exactly like yourself to carry on your legacy -- that's the old school way :). Is Hank III still doing country music?
@@KeyfabeAICoversNo he's gone off the deep end. making songs called "battlefield rape" and disgusting shit like that.
@@NewtzT-V oh well he’s real talented, hope one day he sees the light ;).
He doesn't have the same tone of voice as his grandfather
@@KeyfabeAICoversHe'll see the light. We'll know when he covers it
Skynet Williams Jr
There are two songs from the '60's I'd like to suggest for AI Hank Williams.Dear Heart by Henry Mancini,I'll Cry Instead by the Beatles.Their lyrics are very similar to songs he wrote.
this is better than the original...
already stand by it
Tyminski is an exceptional musician, I feel like he sort of channels Hank when he sings this. Definitely not the typical bluegrass Bill Monroe / Ralph Stanley style of singing. So maybe the voice filter makes it sound even more how he intended...
oh this was another guy?!?! thought it was ai hank williams @@KeyfabeAICovers 🤷♂🤷♂🤷♂
@@matthewjam_s it is AI Hank but it used Dan Tyminski as the input voice. The AI is more like a filter, it transforms an existing voice
it's the best of this song that exists ... and it's a top five song of all time @@KeyfabeAICovers 🤷♂🤷♂🤷♂🙏☮🕊🕊🕊
So many questions. Copyright. Artistic integrity. Not referencing this work specifically but generally the use of ai its limits or lack of limits.
Good questions, looked into it a lot before posting these. Short answer is UA-cam automatically associates this with the original artist using their content id system. The record company gets all the ad revenue, and I can’t monetize for myself (which is fine by me). Now you could argue Hank’s record companies should get a cut since their recordings were used to make the voice model but that is new undecided territory.
@@KeyfabeAICovers Well the original is public domain now. Has been for a while.
And so many questions... like how corporations *stole* public domain from us by extending copyright from 14 years with a 14 year renewal and increased it to 100 years or more.
Finally
I've been listening to Hank for nearly 70 years, and this sounds nothing like Hank.
70 years, wow! Everyone seems to hear the AI differently. I have a few other Hank AI covers up - do they all sound off to you or just this one?
@@KeyfabeAICovers Most sound more like the original singer of whatever the song is than like Hank. I don't know why anyone would want such a recording. I'd rather have the real Hank singing the songs HE recorded.
@@douglasd53 yes we still have the originals and of course they are better. This isn’t a replacement for those or even serious music, it’s just fun / fantasy :).
Same here
Rod Stewart kills this song
Where did this come from?? That's not Hank Sr !!!!
It’s an AI cover
this is okay! but def ai; lacks some quality... his stuff is better
Definitely, the real recordings sound the best, even after all these years.
this is maybe amazing though; the vocal level and tone control really do it! might be better than the original @@KeyfabeAICovers 🤷♂🤷♂🤷♂
Did Hank really sing this?
No it’s an AI deepfake. Sort of gives you an idea of what he might have sounded like singing it.
👍🏻
This is direct from the movie Oh Brother Were Art Thou sound tract. It is not AI.
The main vocal is AI generated.
I don't here Hank sr whos AI
Not Hank
This is an AI cover.
NOPE - DOESN'T SOUND MUCH LIKE HANK AT ALL!!!!!!!
It isn't a terrible representation, but it didn't do a particularly good job of capturing what he might have sounded like doing this one either.
Shame we'll never know for real.
Yeah I agree with that take, this bluegrass style picking sounds awesome, but is not how Hank would have done it. To me this AI cover verifies that his voice would work really well with this song though.
Absolutely not, nice try tho!
It doesn't capture Hanks whine at all
This AI should of been banned at the start, treated like Covid.
Sounds nothing like hank
Sounds just like hank sr, your ears are broken
@kreepingdeth198 I listen to hank Sr all the time
@@kreepingdeth198 that sounds awful
