@@JoshRichBJJ So let's say anywhere from 600-900 hours. That's a solid amount of time to practice anything. This is very motivating for me because being able to show up to a lot of classes each week is basically the biggest thing I have going for me in bjj XD
@@JoshRichBJJ How did you train 9 times per week? Did you train during the morning and during the night some days? It sounds great, I just cant imagine having the time to do so alongside school/work.
@@Dr4g0nExtremet’s possible if you rly love it. When I used to compete in powerlifting I’d prolly train same amount of hours as his 9x a week, a lot of the days I’d train morning and night, while I was in engineering, it didn’t rly affect my school actually. If I was in highschool I’d prolly have had way more time
@@CM-ow3tq Pretending what??? he was a whitebelt at the time of the video, he had like a year a couple months of grappling experience, how is that pretending...
@@Rob-J-BJJ He's always pretending to be at some sort of beginner stage beating much higher ranked opponents. Although you can clearly tell he's substantially better than what he makes out to... Kind of starting to annoy me this guy...
All the other guy had to do was stay on bottom and survive after you got mount, but he gave you the chance by exploding. Exactly the mindset I hate about sport BJJ; too much focus on risky escaping at all costs instead of defense and survival.
@JoshRichBJJ that’s crazy because the same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago at ADCC open in ottawa. I was losing but I hit a shoulder crunch butterfly sweep, took the back as my opponent tried to get back to his feet and subbed him with a RNC😅
We should not be screaming like that unless somebody is seriously injured. Making that much noise and drawing that much attention could prevent someone from noticing a verbal tapout.
Pretty sure he was training for about a year if not less when this happened, but apparently was training like 9 sessions a week and also watching instructional content
But he won this one with a butterfly sweep, back take, and rnc. Cmon, just give the guy credit. I do agree that as a wrestler you can get better faster because you already have a developed positional game.
This is an old match from back when I was a White Belt. Full video on my channel “ how a white belt won a expert level jiu jitsu competition”
How many hours had you trained when you won the expert level tournament?
@@marksanchez7323 not sure hours but I trained for a year and 2 months and trained about 9 time a week
