Man, I’ve got the 2015 and I’ve got none of that but the battery which isn’t that bad lol, come on now. Editing is a breeze! It’s great for music production man it's a beast. I don’t feel like it’s aging at all you won't really tell a huge difference with the new laptops man. I feel like it’s in its own lane. I think it’s the greatest MacBook Pro of all time and most people think it is just because you still have a sleek design like the new ones, great display, the apple logo glowing on the back and most importantly you can upgrade it unlike the new ones you can't do that. Don’t listen to people like him keep your gear till it dies. You don't want to be in debt. Save your money and avoid these youtubers and their bullshit reviews. Some of these youtubers are paid by apple to make shitty reviews like this just to make more money. New things aren’t always good. Keep your 2015
I'm thinking about buying a 2013 to 2015 15" macbook pro for college. They actually seem like a great value for used machines with quad cores, great screens, and 95wh batteries. I have an old gaming laptop with an i7 4720hq and it has plenty of juice for my uses, so these old macbooks seem pretty solid as they all rock haswell quad cores.
I have the same 2015 Mac book Pro , also got the recall completed for battery etc.. thou I had same issue as you with the fan going crazy very fast. I ended up taking back off, removing the heatsink and cleaning the fans ( dust was insane ) then cleaned off the dry paste compound that was due to be replaced. I used some NXT-1 i think it was on the CPU and heatsink. Totally different experience runs cooler now and fans dont spin up as fast. Love the 2015 pro thou its showing its age for sure.
Hey great idea, will have to tear mine apart at some point and clean it out. Have you replaced the screen by any chance? Is it still possible to do so ffor free with Apple? Thanks
@@peterisluego I had my screen replaced during the warranty period. I would say it would be an out of pocket expense if you did. Can't imagine it would be cheap npw.
I am still using mine...same spec as yours. I love the USB ports(old style) it works flawlessly even with CS6 with Mojave..Im not about to update to "Big Nothing"(SUR) It wont let me run my old office or CS6 as I was used to. SO like yourself, I will use it on occasion. I even have a 2012 AIR (2-USB) and love it though it is grinding along with Mojave from a Sierra update. So until they go BANG! one day, I use them sparingly. I decided not to purchase the new AIR with M1 processor(about the same price) as that would have put me back to the future with the "Big Nothing" package again...so I bought a refurbished 2019 Air with same goodies as my 15" and though they told me it comes with Mojave, it did not! so I had to Time Machine back to Mojave. I am a retired Contractor...so no high-end stuff going on here. Just enjoy a few bits and pieces of software from the old days.

Agreed can’t say I’ve ever had a laptop this long. Good on you for upgrading it, might speed it up too! Haha

nothing wrong with staying old school!
how come that with photoshop is that heavy? It handles pretty much lightly, unless you're talking about an i5/8GB mac 15.
i have a mac air 2015 and its still like new
Awesome!
Same. LOVE my mac. Runs smooth, fast and still looks sleek and beautiful
