I built a large quinzee a few years ago, just for fun, and it had an ice bar and plenty of room to stand. I piled up the snow over the period of many weeks to give it time to solidify (sinter), so it was a safe place to be in. Greetings from Winterpeg. 🤣

I made these as a kid whenever it snowed! I just thought it was fun to be in a snow cave, I had no idea it's an actual survival technique
