This was great. For a classically trained singer just starting my journey on contemporary music I found this video really useful. Are you able to point me in the direction of any more resources as it is such a change trying to find my natural voice rather than belting out Handel’s Messiah! 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Holly WagonSnitch....I must have watched hundreds of vocal videos on UA-cam and nothing, nothing, nothing compares to the fascinating uniqueness as this video. My only problem is I don't know how to do or know what to do with most of the terms you mention while singing. You said it wasn't the perfect.....IT WAS....if the purpose was to show what one can do with one's voice this was as perfect as they come. Great JOB!
Wow. Very cool. The changes in your vocal timber remind me of what it's like to do an "impression" of a celebrity. Gives me an idea to take songs and try vocal experimentation like this.
Thanks Robert, yes these same ideas and techniques are exactly how you would go about doing impressions (some people change their voices intuitively but end up in a similar place). I'm so glad it inspired you to experiment. Have fun! :)
Lovely content! It's very encouraging to see you always posting videos with a smile 😊 very heartwarming to get that kind of positivity, and to see that you preach a more stress-free life and actually apply that to you 👍
Thank you for your gorgeous and kind comment King! I think it helps that I love what I do and the singers (like you) that I do it for. The encouragement always makes it such a pleasure. THANK YOU! x
Aww thank you so much. I love surprising people and getting them interested in what sounds and tone colours they could make with their voice too! Thrilled you enjoying it. :)
Do you have other songs doing this? I started a newish job and inherited a class to teach on singing technique and having more than one song would be awesome. Thank you for showing these different techniques!
Hi Gregory, congratulations on the new job! I don't do this with lots of different songs but you could create your own for your class, that could be fun? :)
Hi thanks for your tips❤ I hope you'll reply this comment. U know I started singing since Corona started. now I really need your help. I'm in puberty and my falseto sound weird. can u give me tips to make my falseto nice and breathy? please help me. singing is my dream please help me with this.🙏❤
Ok so what you want to do is get cough drops and drink hella water. Remember that you want to keep your whole airway open, so don't close off your nose. Practice your whole range equally- vocal strength is a system!
Excellent video! You have a beautiful voice. I definitely would not recommend an operatic approach to the song you chose, or any time that too bright. This song is dark and heavy, and requires a soulful, dark, and slightly rugged tone to the voice.
I'm so glad it helped you Hoda! They're really more different COLOURS of the voice, they don't only fit into one style but certain colours suit styles or genres of music better than others. :)
There are tons of vocal videos on UA-cam but few that can sing. They are long on explanations and less on showing the HOW. I hope you find a path to continue and hang in there. It may take a while to get through the jungle, but once you do, I think your videos will burn the house down given your rare talent. Heck, you could do a video just on this video and how to do some terms/color you did. I decided to write down here some of the terms you used (continued Click Read More): *Low Breath Intensity *Breathy *Relatively Closed Mouth *Muted?? * Similar Breath Intensity & Volume *Clear?? *Not Muted *Brighter *Stronger Breath Intensity *Moderate Volume *Lower Jaw Position *Rounder Lips *Darker?? *Quieter Volume *Bright Anchoring?? *Higher Tongue Position *Changed Tongue Position *Lips & to a Muted Sound *Body Anchoring?? *Backed off Breath Intensity *Slides?? *Cry on Set Feature?? *More Space *Oval Lip Position *Two Forms of Anchoring?? *Relatively High Tongue Position *Changed Anchoring Hopefully I didn't duplicate. The ones I put a question mark beside I don't have a clue how to do or what they mean. Great Job...keep making more

I am working on my vocal tone at the moment and your videos help a lot! I prefer a darker vocal sound.

Thank YOU Huck! 😊
I wanna learn it so muchhh
Thanks for performance!
I prefer more relaxed versions
And more natural open powerful sound in Chorus.
Some gospel-like modes are cool too, thanks)
Thanks for watching and letting me know which colours you liked! I hope it was interesting for you. :)
good demo ... but what do you mean by muted in your description on how to sing?
Hi Hung, muted is the word I use for when the placement is not "forward" but resonates a little further back inside the mouth.
Mam I have a problem of touch high notes of words which contains u ,e etc. What to do??
You are beautiful both from outside & inside....
Aww thank you so much. x
Owh that's really help me madamme
I'm so delighted to hear that, thank you for watching and letting me know!

Thank you very much, this helps a lot, do all this styles have names?
I'm so glad it helped you Hoda! They're really more different COLOURS of the voice, they don't only fit into one style but certain colours suit styles or genres of music better than others. :)
🔥 ❤️
Hope you enjoy Bali!
Thanks lovely, I enjoyed the few weeks that we got before COVID-19. Hope you and your voice are doing really well. x

It’s called click bait
I want to learn country because is my favourite type of music
Oh awesome! So a mixture of forward, bright and more spoken sounds will be your jam then. :)
Kimberley Smith yeah just want to learn it been singing to country when ever im alone
Which one of these does Chris Stapleton use 😅😂
You are still a special unicorn though.
Aww that is such a lovely thing to say, THANK YOU. x
Are you sure you're not a special unicorn?
Powerful voice, not si powerful microphone :)
Church, knife ,sharpen , sounds more like a abbatoir...I could almost hear pigs squealing in the background.. Lucky I was not toking up, at the time.
