hbg stands for House Builder Gang, it's a group of (mostly) elite speedrunners. This channel was setup by them I believe. If you want to join hbg you need a sub 10 or be a popular youtuber I think (not entirely sure)
You would think someone would learn to try looking up and placing a block to cover the hole in a desert temple as they fallthe amount of times a creeper has just ended the run like that
thats an inventory desync, like ghost blocks. he must have placed a bed at some point, which didnt work, making the bed item seem to leave his inventory. i have no idea how the boat got into the same inventory slot though.

also, you can use the c counter in f3 menu to check whether there is lava or cave under you, as long as the c counter is pretty low you're fine
