I'm not 100% sure but I think the little white card that is under the strap is intended to be used for smoothing the wet paper; it seems quite 'plastic-y' so I think it would be sufficiently waterproof.
Excellent review I bought the large one,but I've found the foam sheet to big for the pallet, plus no matter how hard I try I keep getting wrinkles on the sheets
Really loving your videos. Happy to have found you. Quick question, I was watching your older oil painting videos and I’m interested in oils. Have you ever used water mixable oils on minis? I can’t use solvent due to a sensitivity, but I would love to use oils.
I have the smaller one for like 3 years, painted three whole armies with that and it is just enough. One painting session means one palette with a new paper sheet. The bigger one would be too big for my table anyway...I have a light, wet palette, paper sheet, brushes, cup of water, cup with coffee or a tee and laptop for movies....the bigger would definetly not fit.
I have GSW wet palette but my son like AP regular sized palette better. The big one is way to big as I use very small blobs of paint while painting but I am sure there are people who will enjoy t a lot.
I'm a bit disappointed that the lid( with the paint wells) on my new AP Xl wet palette malfunctioned so quickly (The lid isn't closing properly anymore, which affects the seal.)hopefully AP will make adjustments in their QC process.

I bought the small one a few years back since i dont paint that often. It serves its purpose.
Really cool 🖌
Does anyone know what is this “other” brand that he mentions that the colour separates too much?

You're referring to hiro paints hahaha
No. Hiro paints are awesome. Even better than other bigger brands. 😊
