When I was a kid I had a Gsd. He was not the perfect one but I still loved him. We even slept on each other. He was not the most obedient one but he was still close to my heart. But sadly he passed away. But he is in a better place now having all the treats
Awww at the beginning of the video Lucy's head tilt is so adorable!! Lucy is such a good girl! I am amazed at how well she behaves!! Thank you for sharing!! 🥰🐾💜🐾🥰
Love this thank you!🤗 I had dogs my whole life like I previously mentioned and I put them thru training at like Petco but never got any tips like this thank you! I learned a lot!🙃
I love your videos bro I just got a German Shepherd puppy from Germany bloodline a good bloodline and first thing I was wondering is how much does a Lucy weight and my other question is do you know any recommendations for a new owner German Shepherd pup?
Sweet and well trained & excersiced as always dear lucy 💖 it's great to see you two together training and so on. There was a question that came to my mind when I saw the recall video just now. What and how do you do if a person afraid of dogs came passing you/close by, would she react to that or she wouldn't do anything at all? quirious... Thank you for all videos, information and everything!
Great video!! I love Lucy😄 You might have just come up with a wonderful way to teach heel. Walk your dog in a hail storm with an umbrella. Most dog's will want to stay under the umbrella🤗 What a good girl Lucy💗
Did you use a prong collar for Lucy? She is so well behaved. We are having problems for our gsd so we use it and we’re recommended it by the breeders and an officer.
@@Lucythegermanshepherd Also I don't know if this is a normal puppy thing or not, but usually my GSD heels properly in the park when its just me walking him, but when other members of my family are in front of me, he starts pulling. Not sure how to solve that problem.
We have this problem too - the dog wants to be the leader and thinks he outranks them. We just keep doing it forcing him in the middle of the pack and rewarding and doing things like changing direction quickly to keep him focused on the heel and then they get less anxious about not leading. We also use a gentle leader too to give gentle corrections if he tries to pull ahead.
Hey, Lucy is so cute 🥰 she reminds me of the Lucy I grew up with! If you don’t mind me asking what’s your grooming routine like? Do you furminate once a week, bath once a month?
I know normally this is why it is recommended to only get 1 puppy at a time just because they just require so much time and training. I am sure you will get there. I really recommend training them separately and if commands aren't to well engrained yet use different commands for each dog for example with the command lay down. For 1 dog use the word 'down' and the other dog 'lay'. It may be that they're getting confused because they don't know who you are talking to. Obviously I don't know your training or your puppies so it is a bit harder to give advice. Also I really recommend the youtube channel McCann professional dog training. Their videos are really clear and they show you them working with a dog. They have things for young puppies older puppies dogs and older dogs. Really great channel!
Hello! Vet assistant, and gsd owner here! Oral hygiene is super important for dogs like this. Start out by using a doggy toothpaste on your finger as a treat so they get used to the flavor like an extremely high reward treat. Slowly move to putting the paste on the toothbrush, but don't brush the teeth yet. Just show them that the paste is tasty and the brush isn't scary. Eventually they should let you start slowly using the brush! You should ideally brush once a day :)
O.k. i should let you know how it went: within 2 exercises (!) she already understood the meaning of "Middle" !!?!?!? It was not really a big job to learn it. Hahaha. I did it with a 'sushi-cookie' and she lóves those cookies. She followed my hand and went in 'sit' between my legs to get that cookie. When can i start with only the command "middle"? (i learned her in english, it sounds good)
In my humble opinion Shepherds may survive but doubt they would thrive...All Canines are Carnivores. I feed my shepherd a raw diet, only 10% of that is fruit and vegetables the rest is Meat Bone and Offal (10%). They have a much different GI tract that's not designed to deal with large amount of Carbs.
We will feed very high quality kibble, boiled egg, rice, vegetables and fruits. The proteins which are not present we will consult with a vet to find the best way to get those proteins from vegetarian food.
@@BLADE-yf5mc maybe allow chicken or turkey. It’s essential your GSD gets quality fatty acids and protein found it meat. It’s your choice, all the best with your pup.
These videos (how you actually trained Lucy) are amazingly useful. Thanks so much! "A trained dog is a happy dog!"
Hey totally agree. Thanks heaps

Great video!
Long lines are the best tool for recall training. It means your dog will never rehearse ignoring you 👍
Great solid advice! As always. You guys make an awesome team!
Hey thanks Esten ❤️🙏
Lucy is beautiful! thanks for the great tips
I LOVE your videos, I have a gsd myself and he is the naughtiest….i def learn something by watching you train her…

Why yes it’s a fabulous training too
@@Lucythegermanshepherd I would also recommend ecollar training for this.

Hey I have a video on this. 😊🙏
Thank you. We have two 10mo male GSD pups and trying to train individually is difficult. Have to tell them over and over just to sit or down. Ugh. 😞

Hi Lucy girl!!
Would this work with a husky?
how long does it take for her to pick up on one call?
Another question can you give me some tips or maybe even make a video on how to brush your gsd teeth, and do you know how often you should brush them?

Master of puppies. Great trainers
@@Lucythegermanshepherd do they have a facility in melbourne

Question: can i learn my GS "middle" as she is 6 years old now? (got her from other people at 5 years)
Yes I totally think so. Just lure with treats into position
@@Lucythegermanshepherd : O.k. thanks for answering : i'll start today! (let you know if i / she succeeds)

Do a tutorial on the thing she does when you recall her and she sits infront of you with her face to your stomach
Lula, Rottweiler and Catahoula Leopard Dog cross likes your show. But she's only 10 weeks. Tar, her brother, likes on screen dogs too.
Do u think german shepards can thrive on a meat free diet.
