Hi man I told you before you are so lucky living in the states we would never have finds like that in the uk, I would sell my right arm to have them gong albums. Many thanks for the video from Rob in England.
Hey! Some really good stuff you got hold of there.
The album "Trettioåriga kriget" (translates to "The thirty year war" as you said and the titel "Krigssång" to "Warsong".
I really enjoy your videoposts, most of all the ones about psychedelia and stuff related to that but basically all your videos are really interesting and inspiring. A big THANK YOU for that! Friendly greetings from Gugge, Sweden.
Seriously in a closet. You got some awesome closets down your way, way. Really incredible. You Holy Molly Wall has a line up of albums waiting to get on it.
Yes sir! Hope you can visit sometime! I’ve found some great stuff in closets down here 🤣
I can't wait for you to hear the Finch albums!
You will be blown away. Killer guitar and music.
One of the best Dutch bands.
Enjoy another good video Dillon thank you very much for putting them out
Mannnn.. you're the luckiest guy when it comes to buying collections ! Nice. And Van der Graaf Generator are fantastic!
Man alive! That Exmagma. Long time want- never seen it in the wild. That trettioariga is immense too. One day, one day.... Great finds Dillon.
Static Traveller yeah me finding it twice is like lightening striking twice!
Haha - I had a jaw-dropping moment with the ExMagma too. Killer stuff.
Hi Dillon. Great haul my man. Half of the that collection you could have been looking through mine! I collected many L Coryell records too. Cheers.
Finch was a dutch prog rock group from holland, it was formed by 3 of the 4 members of the beat beat garage band q65! Good stuff
Man, you sure keep all the best stuff for yourself! That Exmagma LP is a real score. I had the original back in the day and foolishly let it go along with so many of my old treasures...I have the reissue now but would love to own an original again.
I usually don’t keep all the good stuff but this time I couldn’t let these go 😬 I try to only keep a couple out of a collection I get and most of the time don’t keep any, but this time, I couldn’t resist. Can ya blame me? 🤣
Wow wow and wow. Great haul.
Dang!! Love all the prog rock man. I need to look into The Eleventh House by LC....that dude could shred! Great collection buddy...it's always nice when the "one day I'll sell" people actually sell lol
Crazy good stuff! Eloy Floating is amazing. I hope to find a copy some day. I just showed their Colours album on my channel. I have Finch Glory of the Inner Force and that is an awesome album. I always describe it as if mid-70s Yes and the band Focus had a baby that is what it’d sound like. 😀 Great stuff as usual Dillon!
That Khan record is one of my favorites are very rare!!
Amazing collection there
Glad to see some CRACK THE SKY ! So underrated
Awesome finds, as usual.... I too have been looking for the Dust album forever, have almost just settled on the 2013 RSD S/T & Hard Attack 2 LP release, but unsure its the way to go. Thanks for sharing as always.
Man i would kill for those Kansas and Rush albums!
We just don't see many of them here in Sydney Australia
Great haul!
Dust! Awesome and with future major rock significance.. featuring Marc Bell, aka later Marky Ramone, on drums and Richie Wise/guitar and Kenny Kerner/prod , later tabbed by Neil Bogart to produce the first two Kiss records on his then brand new Casablanca label.
Omega is amazing prog!
Yes, the Hungarian prog band. I have a few of theirs, but not that one.
Amazing stuff I Love it
Lots of greats man!
Arti e Mestieri is a killer prog-fusion band.
The one you showed is not one of their best, but still pretty great. "Tilt" is their best.
The drummer, Furio Chirico, is stone cold monster. right up there with the best better known fusion drummers of the time.
That Eloy Floating is great. You’ll want to keep that one.
100 percent yes!
YES! Early Eloy is amazing!
I like weird stuff too
nice buy
Some good vinyl to get !!!!
Looks like my collection....some nice imports in that buy
Pretty sure I spotted a couple of illusions when you were flicking through the stuff you plan to sell. :)
Illusion by Isotope is one of my all-time favourite Jazz-Rock Fusion albums.
I suspect you're well familiar with the band Renaissance, fronted by Annie Haslam. The first 2 Renaissance albums, however were a different band entirely. I'll cheat & copy some info from Discogs...
"
Illusion was formed by the four surviving original members of Renaissance (Jim McCarty, John Hawken, Jane Relf and Louis Cennamo) in 1976, adding two additional musicians, guitarist John Knightsbridge and drummer Eddie McNeil. By that time Renaissance had achieved considerable success with an entirely different lineup so the original name was no longer available. The name "Illusion" came from the title of Renaissance's second album, the last one to feature these four musicians."
not sure if you use music apps but it would be cool if you made like a spotify playlist of some of the bands you find/your top bands to help introduce people to new music since you have such a wide variety of music!
Sheeeeeiiiiittt
Searching the Yellowbook©️ for Noble Records, Pittsburgh branch.
It’s just not there 😜
Hi Dylan, love your videos. Do you know the English band Stack Waddy? Somewhere between Stooges, Captain Beefheart and British pub rock. Have you ever seen any of their records, they seem rarer than hens teeth?
I have a reissue of their self titled, it is amazing stuff!!!
I was startled to see that the Stooges record had the butterfly label - I thought that was much later. But apparently Elektra started with the butterfly label in 1970, so evidently Fun House was never on the red label.
The Message LP is listed in Discogs as being on Bacillus Records, but the notes say "Labels shows the old Bacillus Records layout with unboxed Bellaphon on top."
I agree that the price sticker is strange - it's got to be old. That style of price sticker has a date so the store can mark down old stock that hasn't sold after a few months.
Unfortunately, I got rid of all my Gong in a purge in the early 80s. It kills me to think what that handful of records would be worth today. The ones you are showing are from the later part of their catalog.
The original UK press of Before and After Science was subtitled Fourteen Pictures because it contained ten songs by Eno and four prints by Peter Schmidt. You did check that copy for the prints, right?
An original mono Parlophone Revolver is not as valuable as I expected, they're selling them on Discogs for
£60-80.
i have an OG copy on the gold label. canadian.
That guy ever live in the UK? That's a classic UK collection including a few UK sleeves that are different in the USA. By the way Crying To The Sky on the Bebop Deluxe album Sunburst Finish has one of the greatest solos ever.
Did you know 11th House reformed in 2016? They have a "new" one it's called Seven Secrets it's on Savoy.
Fireballet is pure prog.
They kind of 'borrow' a lot from YES, King Crimson, but they do it so well. In other words, not the most original stuff, but killer nonetheless.
The Nucleus album is killer!
"SSSSH... TEN YEARS AFTER" (1969) 13:42 VERY COOL ALBUM. I LOVE THIS SONGS. - M.S.C.
Man, I’d love a copy of that Khan album. Some great LPs featured here today ❤️
Thank you! I’m stoked!
The PFM records you have are great. The Italian one, the vocals are Italian. The US one the lyrics are English, most anyway. Good score, for sure!
Bob Wagner I have listened to their album “Cook” but haven’t heard the rest, I’ll have to check those out
They had several albums released in both Italian and English versions. I'm not absolutely sure, but I think they may have been entirely different recordings. The English lyrics on the early ones at least, were written for them by Pete Sinfield who is perhaps best known for being the lyric guy for early King Crimson.
Hey Dood... A/B test that Fun House. I had two NM og presses and one sounds 10 times better. You wouldn't notice it by itself, but definitely when comparing. The one you want is the more experience one on Discogs. I can send you which one if you'd like.
Premiata Forneria Marconi is a Great Italian progressive rock group
PFM is not just a great Italian prog band, they are a great prog band, period.
Easily one of the best ever.
In some ways it was like you were looking at my collection.
How much for that rare Herb Albert ???
Please, please would you put a list of the albums for all your videos in the comments? It's so hard to make out what the albums are just flashing album covers for a second, often with no text on the cover!
Hi Dylan
I watch all your vids and love them
Almost choked when i saw that Stooges fun house
You never see that here in the Netherlands.
Keep it up man
Hayo
Hayo Haans hardly ever see them here either! Thanks for the kind words!
Did Elektra records
feature a caterpillar
on their label?
Alphonse Mouzon is a Crazy drummer, he is actually a member of the eleventh house. They made a Album with the Mahavishnu orchestra. The Album is Called the end of the world. Iˋm sure you know the Mahavishnu orchestra, in case you dont, Check it out, its with John mclaughlin a Great guitarist that Played with carlos santana on an Album. Great Collection, would Really like to dig through These piles, but sadly i live in Switzerland. See ya
Also Jon Bonham loved Alphonse. There is a story in one of the Zeppelin books about him playing along to "Mind Transplant" on a full kit in the middle of the night when Zep was living at the Continental Hyatt House (Riot House) Hotel in LA.
Tommy bolin and mouzen is amazing, I think it's some sort of metal
Man, did you ever score on those prog imports! I shudder to think what that guy must be holding on to. The rest of the load looks like great stock for your store. Cheers.
Yeah I didn’t even wanna see what else he had.🤣
Larry Coryell - Fairyland maybe the sickest live guitar record I have heard this side of Hendrix if you don’t know it.
Finch is cool! Ian Carr!!! Cheers
I'm a huge Nucleus fan!
Great haul Dillon, that Dust album is absolutely killer I actually have both Dust albums and they are solid. Eloy Floating is my favourite album in there discography. The prog stuff you grabbed is rare as well and you are right it’s rare to find people that have those types of records in their collections and that there willing to sell. Thanks for sharing, Cheers Snowy
Thanks man! I’m bad at commenting but I’ve been enjoying your videos!
Still searching for that Dust album. Hard to find.
a tip : you can watch movies on Flixzone. I've been using them for watching all kinds of movies lately.
@Giovanni Jake Definitely, been using flixzone for since december myself =)
Steve Howe wrote Nighttale on that Fireballet LP.
Have a Sounds Of The South press of LS. My Billboard guide lists it at only $20.
Khan wow that's a winner eloy wow space rock drool. Hope paid him a good price.
The first Finch album is a really solid prog album. I'd love to get my hands on those pfm records but im in nj. Can we work something out?
Funhouse $120, what I sell it for vg plus . Over rated Lp, but the kids love it. Never seen that Krigssang. He may have kept the good Gong and sold you their lost the muse ones, Shamal was the beginning of the end. You, is strong. There are loads of these 70s pop-rock collections in closets in the USA, going dusty, mouldy. Good to get the Eno's, best two in this lot, music wise
Funhouse Over rated! lol!
@@hippydippy It is, of its type a good listen. I used to play Raw Power a lot , loud, as a teenager. Every time I get an OG Funhouse I think of keeping it in the teenage pop tunes box, but never do, if it was a 5$ Lp I probably would. But I can get 120 better Lp's than Funhouse for 120, if I get lucky digging around here!
What's the song playing in the background around 12:00? Sounds cool.
whats the band and song that starts at 11:28?
Hillage is God!
These are amazing finds. Dust! Kama Sutra! Know it well. Why did he pick these up? Strange music. I tend toward more commercial!
Lots of fantastic music! Finch is guitar madness! Especially the 1st two. Ian Carr Nucleus has Alan Holdsworth! PFM is Incredible Italian prog. Khan for sure! Happy the Man is one of the greatest bands ever, for me. Nobody plays minimoog like Kit Watkins! Love both Dust albums. Trettioariga Kriget Krigsang is hot, love the 1st one too. Killer guitar work. I love Message's In Books and Dreams, I heard some of that 1st one long ago. I remember it was way different but great. Too many to comment on but so much awesome music!
Are you kidding me? Message! Khan! Stooges! Awesome!!! I want them all! Krigssång means War song. Trettioåriga kriget was a war faught in Europé 1618-1648.
Alphonse Mouzon = the drummer for 11th House
I have a LOT of promo releases that are not white label. Not all that uncommon up north here.
The Gong albums you show are from the post-Daevid Allen worthy-but-dull version of Gong, when Pierre Moerlen took the lead.
Apart from You, the last from the Daevid Allen's time, and one of their best.
But...they haven't dated well.
The music's still good, but songs about pixies and flying teapots seem weak with current ears.
It's as if this person stole my record collection and sold it to you.
that looks like my collection 25 yrs ago.
You have great taste!
Its nice and all, but where is dub and roots reggae goodness? :)
dustt!
NIce stuff... however some of the things you say are "blues rock" are really not... Atomic Rooster is not for instance. Happy the Man is probably one of the best prog bands the States has produced. Also Fireballet is not hard rock... out and out prog. Finch is an excellent symphonic prog/with fusion as well in the Focus mold... not spacey "Krautrock" at all.
