    In this event Dr Arun Verma, facilitates a live discussion on where are we on positioning anti-racism since the book’s publication and what are the next steps we need to take.
    Speakers:
    1) Professor Jitesh S.B. Gajjar is currently Professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Manchester contributed to the chapter on Governance in the Anti-Racism in Higher Education: An Action Guide for Change book. He obtained his undergraduate and PhD degrees from Imperial College (1977-1984), then worked as a Research Scientist at BMT Ltd before taking up a lecturing post at Exeter University in 1985. He moved to Manchester in 1991. His research expertise is in fluid mechanics and he has published extensively including co-authoring Parts 1 and 4 of Fluid Dynamics published by Oxford University Press.
    2) Benita Odogwu-Atkinson MA(CSM) FHEA PGCE has been an educator for over 30 delivering fashion and Creative Industries curriculums both in FE and HE. Currently a Senior Lecturer at the University of the Creative Arts, Co-chair of Fashion Academics Creating Equality (FACE), Academic Trustee Graduate Fashion Foundation (GFF), BFC Colleges Committee Member and UCA Academic Board member. Benita has also presented at several academic panel events on Racism, Equity and Inclusion in Higher Education, panel discussions at multiple universities, run workshops on Inclusive Teaching and lecture in Europe on Social Justice. Benita also remains a fashion design practitioner.
    3) Professor Tamjid Mujtaba is a professor at University College London; Programme Leader of the PG Dip Social Science Research Methods. Tamjid has worked on a variety of funded research projects rooted in psychology, education and social sciences since 1999 at University College London Institute of Education. Tamjid has skills in quantitative and qualitative instrument design and analysis. Tamjid's particular interests focus around equity in education, girls' achievements and researching barriers and enablers of progression of those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Tamjid supervises doctoral students within the field of psychology and education with a particular interest in student achievement
