I think Shapiro has been outspokenly in favor of the Israeli war crimes in Gaza. That might deflate Democratic turnout in key areas, and possibly cost the Democrats Michigan if Shapiro is on the ticket. It seems like having someone who at the very least hasn't picked a position that alienates a large portion of either the party or the broader electorate would be a winning strategy. When she was elected to the US Senate, Kamala Harris appointed a Pro-Communist Senate Chief of Staff, Karine Jean-Pierre. Jean-Pierre was active with the New York-based Haiti Support Network. I think Shapiro has been outspokenly in favor of the Israeli war crimes in Gaza. That might deflate Democratic turnout in key areas, and possibly cost the Democrats Michigan if Shapiro is on the ticket. It seems like having someone who at the very least hasn't picked a position that alienates a large portion of either the party or the broader electorate would be a winning strategy. Someone who excites voters would be best, of course, but even a boring candidate would be preferable to someone who outrages enough people.

Unfortunately with the exception of Gov. Whitmer who I personally prefer, I don't think America is ready for two women running for President and VP. That said, the rest are great candidates. The only VP will choose whoever she feels she can communicate with best. I have no problem with that.
America has been pining for Margaret Thatcher for decades. We now got real royalty with Harry and Meghan and it's high time for Madame President to be in charge and fix the country and we need a female VP and 60% of the cabinet should be women. Shapiro was accused of some harassment recently and Buttigieg is nearly as boring as Kelly. Beshear, Walz, and Pritzker have delivered for people - and defended them against the conservative playbook and that makes them actual representatives of their regions and Americans at large. Any of those 3 as VP would clinch the vote.
Shapiro didn't harass anybody. One of his subordinates in government was accused of harassment and there was a settlement of a lawsuit for a woman. Shapiro mishandled the allegations and the guy accused didn't resign immediately. Shapiro should have let him go much sooner.
