- In his talk Shri Suresh Prabhu talks about how he is aiming to reinvent the Indian railways by providing better solution to today's problems.
Suresh Prabu is an Indian Politician & current Railway Minister of India. Armed with education ,ability, understanding, high integrity, zero corruption. He currently represents Haryana in Upper House of Indian Parliament, and is a 4th time member of the Lok Sabha from Rajapur Constituency of Maharashtra. He has also been Industry Minister , Minister of Fertilizers and Chemicals, Union Minister for Power (GOI) He is also a believer in people's participation in the working of the Ministries under him, especially through the involvement of NGOs and people's groups.Suresh Prabhu is a Chartered Accountant by profession and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.He is Presently pursuing 2 PhD programs in climate change and economics in Germany and Mumbai.

Infocus M2 I support odd-even policy but that man Kejriwal is doing it more for popularity. Because the National Green Tribunal pressurized him, he devised the odd-even plan. Now he's doing it more for popularity than pollution. Odd-Even plan catapulted him into worlds's most influential people.

Contrary to what those negative Tv shows of India and the Government, the positive news is that BJP has one of the strongest portfolio of ministers like Manohar Parrikar, Sushma Swaraj, Suresh Prabhu. All are competent minsiters who are working very hard and embrace new technologies.
The issues in Indian railways is more than a politician issue. Its seriously huge system and so many people use it (or abuse it) everyday that it is a pain to maintain it.
In a usual travel in an inter city train, I can point out 10-20 people who abuse the facilities in a 3rd-AC or 2-nd AC. We take pride and privilege in India to create mess within the train or to misuse stuff like plug points or seats etc.
I have seen people board a train from its base station, without giving a chance for the sweepers to complete their job. This is the starting point of ill maintained compartments.
Also I feel extremely sorry for the janitors and sweepers. They would need to turn into Transformers to do proper maintenance!

One of the best minister. His understanding is very deep, I being a professor operations Management at IIM, feel proud when our minister are talking about management terms we teach in our class. I am fully confident that he will deliver it. Hats off to you sir.
While listening to him I started comparing him with our once railway minister Mr. Lalu Yadav. I mean seriously forget about the results just compare the personality and the way of communication. Keep it up Mr. Prabhu your confident speech will surely make us see better days of railway.
When you are clear on your vision, your speech will also have clarity.. no hiccups no pause.. hope his plan will get implemented and we will see new indian railways altogether

I'm proud to see our railway minister on a platform like this and discuss the much needed changes to be implemented in our railway system. The citizens of India should give time to the government to live up to its promises and execute the various programmes which will benefit our country in unimaginable ways.

Wow! What a wonderful, inspiring speech! First of all, he sounds and talks like an intelligent, articulate, well educated and well informed man, with practical, implementable ideas to improve our railway system. Some of the Indian cabinet ministers I have heard before sounded like they were picked up from rice fields as they were planting rice saplings. In the corrupt bureaucracy that has been running India since independence, it is a miracle that he was appointed as a cabinet minister. With a couple of dozens more people like him in top places, India will certainly improve, I think. Give him the time he says he needs to implement all his ideas, and see the fruits of his actions.

It took a long time for indians to realise that all four parts of India namely pakistan, bangladesh, kashmir and india were being ruled by people who were anti indian or anti hindoo. India needs military culture to rebuild the indian mind. Bahut der ho gaya. Even today all work is being done under the shadow of fear of one person Mr.Modi. We need a million Modis to move ahead into the future. Brave Incorruptible minds.

On a positive note this is one of the most productive ministry I have seen in past few years. Travel and railways are integral and can be game changing for the economy.
On a slightly sad note I somehow feel sad when I see comments focussed on his accent and people still rubbishing the initiatives. I feel the difference whether it is trains or platform. Trains are running on time and Platforms are more cleaner. He is good visionary. Railways have the potential to make our economy stronger.

I wish that Mr Suresh Prabhu should also focus on money being wasted on unfruitful works.
Railways should review its unnecessary regulations which cost crores during
execution of new projects. In this context REGULATIONS FOR POWER LINE
CROSSINGS OF RAILWAY TRACKS- 1987 need to be revised. To study the
pragmatic conditions, a power line crossing under modification in Kota
(WCR) should be checked to avoid wastage of public money by RVNL.
