I love the Judge too, but from my research on D.I.D/M.P.D I'm pretty sure that the person can't control when the "personalities" come out. They come out themselves depending on various means.

You know how athena can sense discord in people's voices when they lie? Well if you were to listen closely, whenever you play with/as athena, you can hear VERY quiet whispering when people lie
If that's true, then that's some straight nightmare fuel.

CelestiaLily I only knew about the one with him, is that the one you were talking about. I go back and forth between some of my favorite cases. Basically ones where Athena is a big one involved in but I have my favorite pre Athena cases but two of my top five have Athena in them, I guess it makes me an Athena fan girl.

When you work at a courthouse, be it a lawyer or a prosecutor, you rarely are on the stand as a witness. Even though Simon took the side of the defense, he still somewhat acted like he would if he were a prosecutor. I wouldn't blame him for forgetting there for a moment.

That's because apparently kisegawa is actually a female! Athena does refer to kisegawa as "ms. Kisegawa" at one point, and kisegawa's "voice" also has a higher pitch like Athena or maya's voices

jettmanas is it about the cheesy toe skin, how he heard about cheese and yet alone cheesy toe skin.
Honestly, after finding out Uendo has DID, revisiting the trial and seeing it from the beginning, it hints so much that he has DID, down to the change in voice beeps for Kisegawa since shes female. Its really interesting to see it.

This... Actually feels kinda relatable, if that's the proper term. I was forced into not feeling stuff when I was a kid- now my feelings are shunted into different personalities. The one typing now is the professional one- there's a chill drinking buddy one, and a perpetually bitter idiot handler, too. There's no fourth, though, as far as we know.

What an interesting character! A lot of thought clearly went into the design to make it easy for him to switch personas like that and have a gender fluid appearance. Nice work Capcom!

Could someone who understands DID please explain to me why Uendo's personalities seem to remember what the others do? I thought they don't share memories.
They do, it's Owen who doesn't. You'll find that out in the next video as to why that is
In real life, alters (personalities) rarely share memories. I missed half of a party yesterday because someone triggered one of mine. One alter can be out for hours, sometimes even days. What spoiled the reality of Uendo's DID was the "switch-switch-switch-switch-switch" of his personalities. It would have been far more realistic for him to switch once, maybe twice in the entire scene. It would make it fit a little better.

hi! there's also osdd, which stands for other specified dissociative disorder. it's diagnosed when someone meets most but not all criteria for a dissociative disorder, like DID. this can involve alters who share memories and do not have amnesia!

It's exceptional! Especially for 2016. We think most modern media is afraid to use the term because they think it's so heavily associated with scary murder alters. But it's used very effectively here with Uendo. We think it's commendable to use the full term outwardly.

I think it's more like all three are very prominent, yet shift, as if it were 3 people with different emotions, whereas Rimes and Blackquill had multiple conflicting emotions simultaneously.

But did anyone notice that last game it was one out of control emotion during the whole testimony, this guys out of control emotions kept switching to a different one in each statement, and beside, Blackquill was the one with all of the emotions going out of control at once during the whole testimony, Fulbright was going through the normal emotion testimony, he was in control of which emotion he felt after the other

His emotions were consistent though. They didn't change from statement to statement, this is what she meant. The most "Wtf is happening"-worthy Mood Matrix was the phantom's, and even *he* had one consistent emotion throughout his (or her idk) whole testimony.

Deadpan Snarker Well, you know how DID comes out of childhood trauma? Yeah, that's why Owen (The main personality who shows the least) is 5 years old and always terrified of everything.
Kisegawa is a reference to a classic rakugo story character, much in the same vein as how Patches and Owen's japanese names are both references as well. Kisegawa comes from the story "Omitate", as an Oiran. The Japanese version has Kisegawa says she is this as well. (Apparently the cigarette fan motif makes more sense for an Oiran than a Courtesan as well, from what I've heard?)
Not to shut down your thoughts, of course. We understand the annoyance of making women characters oddly defined through how attractive they can be. And Ace Attorney's pretty guilty (hah) of that.
We personally really like Kisegawa, and thinks she adds implications to the Toneido system, but we also understand people not liking the execution. So please have a good day!
