She never actually apologizes for what she did to Bat his brother; all she does is ask to take his place, she does say the words I'm sorry but only says its her fault and then promises to stay by Bat's side till he wakes up. If anything it seems more like she's looking for forgiveness so she doesn't have to feel bad. But to me she never actually says sorry for what counts.
You have to remember this is Regina; the slightly naive womanchild who didn't really see thevalue of human life until it was pointed out to her. This is a big step. Though, I do concede the first point and that she didn't say sorry for Acro's brother, but to say she's "just saying sorry so she doesn't feel bad" seems wrong on so many levels.

She only realizes it after Moe (I believe is his name), explains the gravity of the situation, and it finally clicks, but still, it would take a while for that to settle in her head...
Also to add, I don't think Mirika's (Regina) dad Russell, taught her correctly of the ways of how the world works. When people died, she would think of them as "stars", him probably shielding Regina of the world. At the end of the game, she cries. She feels guilty, and wants to make up for the things she did. Late, but: I generally have read Mirika/Regina in the localization at least as being incapable of being sorry for what counts, because she's just...not mentally old enough TO understand what happened to Bat. Acro probably by accident killed the person he really should have been angry with, because while I get protecting your kid...he wasn't, really, given she seems likely to be devastated if she ever truly understands what she did to Bat. (Also a bit concerned about...pretty much everybody courting her. She really seems like she's not out of her tweens mentally.)

@@Ag3nt27 also in the third game, Dahlia posed as her twin sister while inside Maya’s body, and everyone believed her because Maya’s black hair and outfit made her look identical to Iris, until Phoenix revealed to the court who she really was And in Spirit of Justice, Maya summoned her deceased mentor in front of everyone, and everyone could see Maya fully took the spirit’s form, much to their surprise. And later on that spirit channeling power proved vital to reveal the leader to be a fraud, as she was unable to do the same at all despite supposedly being the most capable person in the courtroom at the time
I have to imagine in a world of mystics where channeling is real, they know what to expect, since they mention it a few times. So yeah, no one particularly cares because if you *are* able to channel someone, your appear changes accordingly.

Yes she has grown up, but she still thinks certain animals can love each other/doesn't think anything could go wrong again. She trusts too much in other people that she wouldn't even know if they were the murderer.
Regina did nothing wrong, it was accident.
I love how they all not question a child turning into a big booba woman in the middle of court
Iirc people dont see pearl/maya physically as the person theyre channeling, they just act like the person
@@Coliflowerz actually they do see pearl/Maya as the person they are channeling because in JFA Von Karma says that when a spirit Channeler is channeling a spirit the physical appearance of the spirit channeler will change to the spirit they are channeling
@@Coliflowerz Spoilers?
In 2-2 (Reunion, and Turnabout) F. von Karma says that the reason why Maya looked "different" was because she was channeling someone. She then shows a picture of Phoenix and Maya (as Mia) in the Detention Center to prove so.
@@Ag3nt27 also in the third game, Dahlia posed as her twin sister while inside Maya’s body, and everyone believed her because Maya’s black hair and outfit made her look identical to Iris, until Phoenix revealed to the court who she really was
And in Spirit of Justice, Maya summoned her deceased mentor in front of everyone, and everyone could see Maya fully took the spirit’s form, much to their surprise.
Franziska: *poses a question that'd corner Wright*
Wright: "Hmpf"
Franziska: WTF?!
4:22 While Phoenix was slightly shaken by Franziska's objection, Mia gave absolutely zero fucks

"But you won't be hearing it from me."
Proceeds to explain the entire murder.
14:04 Can we all agree that this is one of the cutest things that we've ever seen in this anime?
she looks like osaka in that moment there
It's interesting to se how they changed things from the game. I actually really like the way that they handled the mystic case, even though the original storyline is also one of my favorites. It makes me happy that both versions are equally compelling in different ways.
23:14 Even with that arm injury Fransizka just has to act all pompous lol
