I understand very well your impression for Band-Maid, and you are absolutely right, I have seen in concert all the old super bands, and only Band-Maid can make you feel the same emotions of the past, in a super band concert.
I was invited by chance by a friend to a Band-Maid concert, it was unforgettable, like going to hear the old super bands of the 70s and 80s, at the concert I was in the front row, laterally compressed against the stage, in a small theater, at the beginning I immediately understood that the volume was absurd for the size of the room, but the mixing was regulated with great wisdom and I could hear every single note, the sound was regulated with great emphasis on bass and drums, starting Akane it seemed too strong and invasive, then you realize that Band-Maid must be listened to in this way, bass that vibrates in your bones and drum that kills you, Akane's double kick was almost painful for the body, Misa's continuous phrasing at the bass is unusual in rock but she and Akane create a powerful vibration that excites you throughout the concert.
Kanami, use the guitar as a generator of emotions Miku is always in the opposite phase, crazy and enthralling rhythmic situations are created, Saiki at the concert is truly an absolute dark queen with a vampire smile, beautiful voice, and an incredible natural intonation, she approaches at the edge of the stage and she lowers and stares you in the eyes, you see her long fingers dancing a few centimeters from your face and makes your body hair stand on end at the end of the concert you will love Saiki without escape.
At the end of the concert you are tired a little deaf, but happy.
Run to see the concert try to go to a small theater and fight to be in the front row, after which you can even die.

Some time next year (2022) some, many people will wake up with a soaring headache and realize they had been hopelessly left behind by five tiny ladies (I do nto call them girls) smashing the whole place with a damning smirk brightening their faces!

I've been watching Band Maid since their first video, and I've known they were something special since then, and I've seen them live several times. That's why I can't listen to the radio anymore. No more DJs, just businessmen playing all the crap the music industry tries to sell us.
I saw them in concert in Europe in 2019, after the first concert I started to follow them for the other two concerts around Europe, I was on travel for a week😂😂😂😂you maybe can think I'm crazy, but believe me, it was an unforgettable week, Band-Maid in concert is something of unique, in my opinion, the best band of today to see in concert.

Everyone is Misa, Misa, Misa....don't get me wrong, I love Misa just like everyone else. Yet, every song opening with the bass line, is accompanied by fantastic drums. The bass would not sound as good as it does if it did not have those drums, yet so few go A-chan, A-chan, A-chan. I love Misa too, but damn those drums are good.

You are spot on with your take on this very special band!!!!.....They played some shows in the US last year in clubs, but I predict that the next time they come they will be in theaters!!!!...I have the sense that there is a growing community of followers, because lots of folks like myself have gotten the 'Thrill' back for rock music after discovering the Maids!!!!There is a ton of great melodic music coming out of Japan right now. That's where all the groove and melody went after grunge and hip hop killed western music....just my opinion...
Totally agree about the music industry. Maybe it's better that only some find the gold. Jackie Chan came to the states to make movies here and they tried to change his style to fit hollywood's style. Whereas he would take 2 or 3 months to get a fight scene down, they wanted him to do it in a week. And I believe that it's better to have fewer devoted fans than millions of fans who don't appreciate how talented they are.

Yes, she drinks during concerts. It used to be Jack Daniels, but the fans kept chanting for her to take a swig, so she had to switch to beer, otherwise she would not survive a concert.

Actually they are already very popular in Europe... as for the States... still not as popular as Babymetal.... but I think the band is getting there....
I wouldn't say that. In fact, I think if you went round the average city in the UK, for example, asking people if they liked Band-Maid, you'd be asking for a pretty long time before you found anybody who'd even heard of them. Babymetal are much more well known, although they certainly aren't household names. Band-Maid played one gig in the UK last year, at a venue holding 900, and it didn't sell out (although it wasn't far off). Babymetal played across the city three days later and sold out a place holding 5000. Walking out of the Band-Maid gig in London, the bus shelter at the edge of the road nearest the exit even had a Babymetal advert on it, for the tour and the new album. The announcement of their appearance at Glastonbury made headlines on the BBC website.
I know they are getting there. I saw Band-Maid in LA last September and l saw Babymetal two weeks later at Aftershock here in Sacramento. I like Babymetal. I love Band-Maid. Babymetal played to a crowd of 35,000 there to see Tool and Korn. They were billed right beneath those two bands. Aftershock was advertised on TV and radio here in Sacramento. There were posters. Babymetal was well received. The show at the Echoplex sold out 1700 tickets for two shows with no advertising and no promotion. The band's name did not appear on the marquee nor were their any flyers or posters to promote the show. If l had not been a member of the Tokyo fanclub l might never had known the show was even happening. Fanclub alerted me and l drove down to LA. Band-Maid is and has been doing literally everything completely on their own. Almost a grass roots effort and l for one applaud that because l know when this band gets heard and seen they are loved by 95% of the people who get to do so. See them on UA-cam the 23rd of July for 1500 yen or $14 US. Sacramento loves Band-Maid.

I hope they will avoid the America mainstream, even tho I know many people want bands to join mainstream and I can see why.
But I have seen many bands that go mainstream that have lost many of their core fan base, because of the record labels having a rule for certain things.

Dude! I know you’re anger towards the music scenes in our respective countries. For years in the States, people kept holding up these shitty, minimalist “rock” bands like The White Stripes, Jet and whoever else decided to learn 3 or 4 chords and declare themselves an artist and musician. Made me turn my tv and radio off permanently. Thank God I stumbled upon the Japanese Rock and Metal scene.💪🏻🤘🏻
