I have now put all my best videos and information into my courses to help others in business: www.aemackintosh-onlinetraining.com/courses/window-cleaning-tools-and-techniques
Ha Ha Ashley just like me too nice, but that's how we learn. I find the customer appreciates it even if it doesn't work, helps keep regular work coming in.
Just a thought Ashley. It might be an idea to use some washing powder and some hot but not boiling water in a spray bottle as washing powder contains enzymes which break down protein of which egg is. Could work on those walls
Window with the egg on it I would of took the ladder off and blade it with an fresh scraper. Personal choice really Good video lol il show you some problem windows / hard to get windows cleaned 😅
I've got a house with similar windows to the one several minutes in the video. I really regret taking the customer on. I agreed that I would do the house traditionally. Then I found the plastic piece that separates the window is not so sealed down, so I try to dry the water but it is always tucked inside the hollow plastic and it keeps dripping down. It drives me insane.
Yeah, they can be very awkward indeed. I find WFP works well if you work in a circular motion the bristles get behind the bars, and then rinse thoroughly. Might take a couple of cleans though.😬
Just do it the good old traditional way with a scraper. That egg soon be off... can I ask what is your go to everyday brush head you use the most? I've noticed yours is white with orange bristles in the middle?have the gardiner slx22 atm with the ultimate lightweight medium brush head
That’s a good idea. I wanted to see if it was possible without getting the ladder. The first brush was a stiff bristle brush, then I swapped to my standard everyday maintenance brush with DuPont bristles for the final clean.👍🏼
2 questions. Why don't you use 35cm full time I don't own a 26cm since 35cm came out. Also why don't you use hot water? van and equipment stay warm and dry all day. Thanks. shaun.
Yeah I find that weight all day causes too much strain and can be a little awkward on smaller windows, but that’s just me. I haven’t invested in hot water yet, but great if you’ve got it.👍🏼
Morning Ash great vid 👌 I am looking for a leaflet and business card made up. I would really appreciate your help. I'm jumping out of my 9-5 to do window cleaning full time. And funnily enough I was going to pop down my local print and design shop after work. Thanks again mate for the great content.
Sure. Check out my training website. You can do the introduction course for free and the leaflet examples are there. I can change the colours and add your logo as you wish. Also, if you do a paid course you will also get exclusive discounts and I can help you get setup with some great kit.😉👍🏼 www.aemackintosh-onlinetraining.com/collections
Noticed you doing frames and then glass directly afterwards, don't you have issues with dust runs on the glass from the frames? Or are these maintenance cleans? Side note, we try to avoid cleaning render at all cost, best way is a chemical soft wash, power wash will damage them and they will destroy your brushes, it's like sand paper. We currently using Vikan soft flocked 10", seem to get best results from that brush atm.
Hello Ashley, can you please tell me if there is a diy bumper solution for wfp brushes which are 32cm wide? I can find only 26 and 40 cm but not 32. Is there some rubber I can use for doing that if I can´t find any. I have tried with a squegee rubber but that was obviously a very bad idea because the white window frame turned black after sliding the rubber over it :)

I find ViroSol best for egg on glass and frames! Strong mix leave it to dwell for 5mins and the egg just melts off! As for the wall not found any solution for that! Once it’s on it’s in and can stay there 😂
Oh no! I hope that’s not happening. Feel like I’m being sabotaged at the moment, my google business page has also been taken down. What’s going on!?🤷🏻♂️

@A.E.Mackintosh Cleaning Services no but I reckon its worth a shot. Customer will be really impressed if it works

Yeah, that’s a good option. I was keen to try and get it off without using the ladder. Glad it worked.😉👍🏼
Hello Ashley
Hope everything is going well ?
What was the hard bristle brush head you was using?
Hi Andy, it was a Gardiner supreme brush. I hope you’re doing well.👍🏼

Nice. Thanks. Yes these were maintenance cleans. I always wash the frames first to keep them well maintained too, then rinse thoroughly.👍🏼
Hi Ash. You or anyone on here ever had trouble with the compose front doors fading with using pure water? Look forward to hearing back cheers wayne
They can fade if they’re in direct sunlight, but it’s not the pure water that’s causing it.
Hi how would you remove concrete from the painted aluminum window frames. Trying to find easer way.
Great video Ash
Is it a go pro you use to film?
Kind regards
Thanks. Yes I mostly use a GoPro hero 10 at the moment.👍🏼

Not any solutions that I know of, other than the ones supplied by the brand who sells the brush in the first place. Sorry.
Just looked at your leaflets and looked in the links but couldn't see where you had your leaflets where.

I've noticed that even when using a water fed pole, you use your traditional window cleaning strokes.
😆 It’s so engrained in my very soul!😜👍🏼

Noticed you were using the manual hose reel?
The belt snapped on my electric and I haven’t got round to fixing it yet.🤦🏻♂️
@A.E.Mackintosh Cleaning Services at least you have the manual one. I had a relay go on mine but still had to use it.
