As a 48 black man… I been saying this since I was like 10. This is not the America I grew up in the 80s and 90s; we shamed people that wanted a race war.
White men’s voices needs to be heard. I hope this goes viral 👊🏽
I'm just a little bit younger than you and where I went to school when I was a kid I was a minority as a white girl. ALL of my friends and teachers were black, this was in the 80's and early 90's, and the only thing we really took note of was that our palms almost matched, then we'd flip our hands over and giggle at the difference in our skin. That was literally the extent of how much we cared about skin color. My friends liked braiding my hair to try to make it match their hairstyles and I loved that we were "twins" once they did my hair. Even a lot of our television was extremely diverse, I remember meeting Gordon from Sesame Street at a friend's birthday party, that's who we ALL looked up to, white or black. You and I are of the "We Are the World" generation, after all! We were absolutely on the right trajectory with Gen X and I truly believed my kids were going to grow up in a society where racism was a thing of the past. They are actually making an aggressive effort to bring it back. This whole thing makes me sick. I don't know a single person who's actually racist - as in cares at all what "race" somebody is. People need to snap out of it, this is nothing more than divide and conquer. And it's working.
ALL of our voices need to be heard.

You know what terrifies the people trying to control us? It's us getting along and focusing our attention on them.
48 and white here. I'll stand by your side against those who oppress us all. The country I grew up in hated racism. Neighborhood sports didn't care about color. We took care of each other. Your attitude and your ability were what we cared about. Sure we had racism, but, as Mr.Albert said, we stomped that out fast. I remember the day in first grade that a student used the N word to a friend of mine. It made her cry. I had to ask my mom what it meant. She explained. The next day, several of us made sure she was never called that word again by that kid. And, as an adult, I realize it was that kid's parents who were the problem. But we dealt with it. Now, everyone is jumping at any chance to make any dispute or issue about race. There are real things to be angry about...the color of someone's skin isn't it. ✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼✊🏻
it's simple i think, if you think there's a problem with Dr King's message you might need to reevaluate your ideas of equality, as and all of us who do? they can never make us hate each other over something as trivial as skin tone after all that's why they want to silence all disagreement, it's not white folks being silenced, it's anyone who dares disagree, we get plenty of "woke" white men allowed to have a voice, it's just the dissidents that must be silenced, same as all the people of color who disagree with their narrative. love or hate them but why do white lib's get to tell, say Candice Owen, Dr Thomas Sowell or Larry Elder to shut up right after telling us about the importance of listening to black voices? cause they are the same people who don't see the insult in saying a person of color doesn't know how to get ID or know how to use a Computer, the people who supported the guy who said "if you don't vote for me you ain't black" for them it's simple, they either use race as a weapon, or at least in my opinion more insultingly play their white savior card "no no ignorant POC listen to us, just don't get too close to my gated community, i know what's best for you, honestly i have your best interested in mind, so long as you stay out of my neighborhood

I miss my brothers from every walk of life. Disabled vet too. I always tell people who called me racist about my brothers.
Like wise, another Disabled Vet here and I grew up in projects amd we had the heinz 57 crew as I called it, we had black, white Hispanic and Asian all in one bedroom. Packed Luke sardines Ms. Ida a white lady who had 3 half black kids took us all in and was mom to us all.. those were the good ol days. We looked out for each other and there was one way in and same way out. Just a round about in back and in the bmmiddle of that our friends aunt lived there dated a guy who got jacked on pcp and beat her uo so we all broke him bad. Literally in shambles when he got himself to the hospital. Cops came and actually praised us for defending a woman when they seen what he did to her.

Anyway, don't let them bitter you, corrupt your essense, don't let them grow hate inside of you, and most of all, don't fear. Love, yet shed light on the darkness, point out the wicked, corrupted ones, and if you be punished for doing so, you have the ultimate price, being punished for doing good is the ultimate confirmation you stand and walk beide him, what label you give him doesnt matter, it is the source, the sustainer, the giver, the pure, the good, the Most High.

Agreed 100%. I've been accused of being racist at a former job, only to have the entire office look at their feet when I explained "I must hate my own family, as I have black and Native American blood in my family"....those idiots didn't look past my skin color either.
Same here, how can we be racist when we are black, white, and American Indian? It has already been proven that we are all related since our original forefathers were Adam and Eve. I actually did a DNA test, and it just keeps going back further and further, of course I did see my American heritage from my Great-grandmother who was American Indian and my Great great Grandfather who was black! We are all related and soon we who believe in Jesus and the rapture will find out how close we really are, Amen!
