Thanks for the exhaust advice. Results speak for themselves. I have been going back and forth between getting a complete cat back or sticking to muffler+resonator delete for my 2011 e90 328xi and this helped make my decision. Also dailying this car and it’s been nothing but fun
Cat back is the way to go , you’ll get 10x more pops
I did secondary cats delete and muffler delete leaving the resonator there. The resonator is essentially a straight through muffler, (like performance mufflers). This will keep the tone down a bit while still giving you crackles on deceleration. My cold starts sound better. Can't even hear it at idle once warmed up, screams up top, secondary cat delete supposedly frees up 6-8hp. Added Turner Motorsports stepped dual tips at the end.
2.5" straight pipe, resonator and muffler delete and dual tips, got it. Would like to try this on my E90 328ixdrive
Also advice to anybody I know this is a year straight but if you want more pops without tuning you can get rid of the secondary cat. I got rid of both and still don’t really have a problem with being to loud (I do live in California btw) but you will get those super loud pops and crackles
Do you have a video of just the secondary cat delete right now I have a 2.5 inch cat back muffler resonator delete but I've been thinking about taking out the second cat. Doesn't sound nearly as good as this video 😭

After 4-5 months i decided to put my muffler back on. I drive 1 hour round trip on the highway daily, and the drone at 2.2-2.4k was really annoying

Wait so you are just removing parts from the car? Does this make the car less reliable or cause any problems since I am taking parts off the car?
The bit you’re taking off is just metal piping, these bits don’t get detected by electronic sensors so you’ll be fine
These cars are little tanks not the fastest by far but definitely relatively the toughest

I just need to know the exact pipes you got on bro I cut off my resonator but there’s two holes did you use two pipes or y shape pipe and then attach a 2.5” I got the same year and model really appreciate it man

no way you'll regret it... but try really hard to find a sport package
Just got a 2011 328i xdrive a couple months ago, runs so well and haven’t had any issues yet, it’s got 130k miles so hopefully I can get another 80 out of it

I am looking at my options for my n52 e90 and I do think the best sound is -muffler -resonator, and to leave the cats stock. seems just enough to not over doing it without cats

that's what i have right now as well on my e90 2011 328i but i cant find any videos of people doing all of that and deleting the resonator with it. it sounds pretty nice i just wish it was a little louder while still keeping a deep tone

I did the secondary cat and muffler delete. There’s a little drone at 2k rpm but negligible
They all sound so different these cars mine sounds very dofferent. It almost sounds like an e36 stright six. I have a UK e93 330i. I got my done by Deutchtec, did it in two goes so probably cost more. I got quad tips with muffler delete (m3 look) with burnt blue titanium. That cost £500.
Then I needed more noise so got secondary cats deleted. This was a further £250. The Sounds is much improved! downshifts, with rev matching are insane. If you have the right race fuel mix, it spits flames and spits flames when you down shift 😂😂😂😂😂.
My ultimate goal is e92 m3 club sport,spec. but not a bad toy for now.
