THANKS FOR WATCHING FRIENDS!
The more you watch, the more I’ll make videos.
I do not own rights to video
"This house is not a shelter anymore" and "Don't you leave us homeless" always strike me hard, and bring tears to my eyes...
Some quick background. The band is from Ukraine which has been at war with Russia for quite some time. The band members haven't been able to return to their homes or family until recently but the war isn't exactly over either. They've been touring non-stop for years, kind of like refugees but they used the time to practice, put out new music and make a name for themselves. This song is about anyone having to live in a warzone and ultimately fleeing it but returning later to demand their "Home Back" as well as the frustrations with all of it. The visuals go along with the lyrics; like "are those the fireworks? No, it's military quirk" which show rockets falling all around the blasted out town in the background. "Is that a mermaid singing? No, it's a siren (another name for a mermaid-like creature) screaming" and then showing an emergency siren on top of building with the stone mermaid. "Is that an angel watching over us? No, it's an air fighter making a fuss" showing a cloud from a dropped bomb and flares that were shot out of the aircraft. The unicorn/soldier visual is trying to show how someone young might mistake the shadow of one for the other. Talented, talented, talented!
The same comment I see in every reaction video of this song.
@@selw0nk You're welcome?
You can always tell when the reactor isn't paying attention to the lyrics...cause this song is actually sad, so if you're paying attention to the lyrics, you won't be smiling.
I agree with that 100%. I get frustrated when the lyrics are overlooked.
@@maximus11400 Thank you!!!!
I know the reason behind this song and the Situation they are in (and many others around the world). But I still can smile, because This is a master piece and good music makes me Smile!!! But I think you nailed it in this Reaction, the lyrics wasent in her focus
@@maximus11400 I find it a little excessive to expect people to focus on the lyrics on their first listen, especially if it's metal. And I really don't think people expect that out of someone else until they've heard it a few times and had a fair chance to digest them.
More Jinjer! Thank you! Check out Pit of Consciousnes (both the official video and the live in Kyiv versions are awesome)
Very personal, deep and powerfull song about the war in their home country of Ukrayne. I understand it´s not one of your favorites, this song is a bit harder to get into at first listen than most others Jinjer songs you reacted to. Hear me out: try the amazing "I Speak Astronomy". It´s an amazing journey, both musically, lyrically and visually. I think you´ll love that one. Peace.
You should react to The Agonist, Once Human and Arch Enemy to.
Coolest teacher ever great react😈🤘
The beginning of this song (before the vocals) sounds a lot like Primus, though they're very different bands. If you're interested in trying something different, you might check out the guitarist named "Jeff Beck." He and Jimmy Page were friends when young, and they both played in the 1960s rock band "The Yardbirds." Jeff got bored and left the band, while Jimmy continued and formed Led Zeppelin. But Jeff Beck is one of the top 3 "Original British blues/rock musicians, along with Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton (who also played with the Yardbirds.) Jeff worked with Stevie Wonder to write "Superstition," but he's best known for another Stevie Wonder song, "Cause We've Ended as Lovers." His UA-cam video from "Live at Ronnie Scott's is amazing. Nobody sounds like Jeff Beck.

As the worm turns
Rare
Enjoy
hehe you need to get used to it ✌️😎👍
Even though this was written about the chronic fighting with Russian-backed separatists in their homeland of the Donetsk region in Eastern Ukraine, the meaning and impact of the lyrics and visuals obviously has exponentially increased since the Putin's brutal and illegal all-out invasion of the country. I was an emotional wreck the first time I saw this video. #FUPutin Slava Ukraine!!! 💛💙
I remember on the Killswitch Engage reaction you said that Jinjer was the only rock music w/growls that u had seen. There's a lot more than that.
Here is another one. Killswitch Engage "My Last Serenade" live ua-cam.com/video/tqrVTfJe1-I/v-deo.html
I love when you react to comedy, but if you're into this, you should try listening to(or do a video on) Tool, a little spacier, deeper, and more methodical, but still plenty of grit/bite like this band... Either way, your eloquence, composure, honesty, great sense of humor, and amazing smile helps me forget six 9 hour days of construction per week and the rat race that is life. Thank you for that Niah. #tunacasserole
The fact that they can go from Raidiohead to Cannibal Corpse in one song is crazy.
They really remind me of Slipknot
There is a unique performance I think would blow your mind and would be a fantastic reaction episode. Check out Mike Love - Permanent Holiday (HI Sessions).
If you like her checkout arch enemy another great female growler
I bit disappointed in your reaction. Didn't see the enthusiasm I expected but thank you for the reaction.
It's probably a bit too much musically for most people to comprehend on a first listen, plus she didn't pay any attention to the meaning of the song, which is where the impact really comes in. I don't think it's very surprising that she was luke-warm toward it.
She's top five sister not top 10
At least!!
interesting band. that chick is freekin crazy LOL. not really my cup of tea musically, but i really do appreciate the aesthetics of heavy metal and death metal genre, it's just the music itself is inferior (to me). the breakdown in this is cool as hell. when i hear stuff like this, i'd rather just listen to my old favorites like Alice in Chains or Rage. there's only so much dissonance one's ears can take.
This band is terrible.
Your right!! Terrible Underrated!!!
