@random user its like everyone forgets that you have to already beat HC to farm up that shit to give to a new HC char anyway. so this is absolutely impossible to happen in the first weeks of wow hc official servers. furthermore, Diablo has had the ability to give items to new HC chars for 25 years and no one complains in fact Diablo is referred to as one of the best examples of HC games, so WTF is everyone bitching about it now? absolutely nothing. Narcissists just find any excuse they can to BITCH about anything they have an excuse to start bitching about. thats todays reality.

I mean isn't the whole hardcore thing basically a trust based system? Why would this not be a problem now but is one later on?
Because right now the addon prevents trading and to get verified you have to have your character reviewed by mods of the addon.
So while you may be able to cheat the system it’s difficult to do so and you would certainly get caught if you did everything in this video.
Just use the addon on the HC servers then, problem solved.

The amount of ppl in the comments not realizing that's exactly what ruined classic (bots, RMT, gold inflation, depreciation of player's own farm/grind/effort) and can easily ruin HC if there's no trade+AH restrictions. you won't even appreciate a green drop anymore, what's the charm then ? trade at 60 but no AH is the perfect solution
He was PvP flagged at some point. Imagine if some male Orc or Undead Rogue came out of stealth to oneshot grief him and remove all the buffs

Hardcore is all about receiving max lvl loot as soon as you spawn.
i was expecting him to die: when porting to stormwind, when using the goblin boots, when being summoned to stranglethorn vietnam, when heartstoning out of ganking bay and finally due to dc in middle of low lvl mobs. Nothing happening seems weird
Are you under the false impression that players in a non-pvp server can just up and attack non-pvp flagged players?

Random invite from someone, that someone engages in pvp, bam you are pvp flagged too without doing anything. In orgrimmar the cenarion emmisary can be made to attack you. Warlock can summon infernal or other thing. Hunter can resummon pet with plague from plaguelands or swamp of sorrows... you are really naive if you think you cant die

You won't be able to dungeon boost on HC servers, it'll have the same restrictions SoM has (if a mob is grey to anyone in the group, you get 1xp when it dies).

Dungeons have a 1 day cooldown pre-60
i prefer no trading and AH until level 60 but you are allow to group up with others for quests on your level range and 2-3 run cap per dungeon until level 60 it will be more interested that way
The level range grouping generally solves the repeated dungeoning issue, unless someone find a group of friends that also want to run 5-6 times but, if they wanna do that then why should the rest of us care really? It cheapens their own experience.
@@savagedragn agree but for my HC experience leveling the most fun part was the dungeons even caping it 2clears per dungeon will be still fine and you don't need to grind mobs for exp open world to catch level for next zone 😉
For me if you don't solo HC then its NOT an achievement , anyone who needs help or their hands holding can't seriously be considered Hardcore ..........

I'll admit, I was one of those guys that thought some of the hardcore challenge rules were stupid and anti-mmo but this stuff would actually defeat the essense of hardcore. It's not gonna be as much of an issue for the first 2-3 weeks or so but they should probably restrict trading and mailbox use until you reach level 60.
I don't think it will ever be this prevalent. Getting a single character to endgame will be an undertaking on its own. Getting these items will be a huge investment, and giving them to a twink alt will be a huge risk. Yeah, you have an advantage against others your lvl, but one lvl 40 rogue can make you lose it all in an instant.
I think the meta will be to always level in groups. As long as dungeon farming is regulated, I think the nature of a HC server will be self regulating and encourage more player interdependence than non-hc, which I'm always for. I would much rather play official HC in a group than unofficial HC solo.

hc in official server and turtlewow are so different.
in turtlewow its all about the journey. people congratulate you for reaching lvl 60. you literally beat the game at that point.
meanwhile in official server its all about the endgame especially the raid. the game just begin at lvl 60

I logged into HC WoW on Defias Pillager and this is exactly what I saw on a 28 rogue with full BiS items and enchants...
They really need to make trading only available for level 60 characters lol

On turtle wow hc players can only trade with hc players within their lvl range +-1, no mail, no AH. So in order to trade something from a lvl 60 to a lvl 1, you'd need 58 other toons lvl 2-59. This is probably (or SHOULD BE) what blizzard will do.
You would then be creating a 3rd party market for gold sellers and items via bots at every level range. They simply trade the items down the chain for you in exchange for compensation. But it's not a bad idea. I just personally don't have any reason to want to trade. I'm SSF the whole way personally.
@@Calx9 all items become soulbound when traded? I prefer not taking a chance on incentivizing 3rd party stuff but just throwing that out as a possible solution

The only thing I would see as a potential change would be figuring out how to make enchanting relevant. That goes for any of professions gated by requiring another profession to advance. As it stands now it’s a dead profession because a bs is needed for every runed rod. But if they decide not to do that I won’t complain. I expect blizzard to take whatever approach requires the least amount of work and customer service.

If people want to play like this (and they will), great! They're having fun in classic. This is why classic is awesome, so many different ways to play.
For me, I really hope there's a solo-self-found checkbox on character creation. An in-game title for that would be nice too.

First couple weeks will be fun on a fresh, but I'm still going back to Blood Sail with the addon. Server will be trashed very quickly if they're allowing trades and AH. There will be GDKP's and other trash that comes with allowing players to buy gold.

I'll admit, that did look fun at the end. I do get this problem though. It'll cheapen characters for sure. As much as I might want to say if people wanna try hard, let em. Considering there's some times you can just have as consumables for near get-out-of-jail free cards is definitely too much. The enchants however will get outscaled and they'll have to replace it with new gear. While I wanna say I don't expect people to re-enchant gear so often, considering how long the levelling actually it, that might not actually be unrealistic to have happen. I think that can be where the problem is being a level 1 twink? Who cares, first few levels are obviously gonna be a breeze. But as you get higher and higher level and they take so much longer, all the different buffs and consumables will add up and that major difference will be felt. Funny video as always, keep up the great work!
Considering it's customary to pay for gear these days (token, gdkps, etc) almost no one will be playing hardcore in a self found manner.
@@blaket1841 The thing is with gdkps you need to get to the level to raid in the first place. Token's aren't in classic era but rmt will be a thing
@@Sonadourge Yeah I was merely talking about the self imposed auction house and mail restrictions of the actual hardcore addon. On official servers if it's just 1 death and you can't be resed people will be trading as much as possible to buff their character, and probably instance leveling.
@@blaket1841 I just really hope they tune down the instance levelling a bunch. I wanna do instances for the gear because that's what feels good. I don't really like the idea of dungeons having some of the best gear and having to get really lucky for the right pieces. I also really like the idea of being a lower level and getting to feel like you're really well geared for your level bracket. Like you've got the current bis dungeon gear for your level

Turtle wow have a great system, you can only trade with characters 5 levels over and under your own level, then also, mailboxes and the AH is closed to you. You have to opt in on HardCore on level 1, when you do that, all equipment and items are reset to nothing.
then you could keep trading with a toon 4 level below the last until you get to lvl 1.
@@zeonos yes possible - but good luck with the gymnastics getting that done. The effort to hand down gold and items is nullified in the sense that you can do almost nothing with gold with a closed auction house. The questing rewards / trash vendor drops give you enough for skill training. You would need to plan far ahead and hope you dont die.

A better system is probably doing that + allowing everyone else to only trade with ch a racters of roughly their own level.

So this is basically just like my diablo 2 online hardcore mode experience. Where I had friends loot the items from my corpse so they could give it to my new character.
(And also having overleveled online players carry me until nightmare.... and also having alt accounts I can trade with.... Official Harcore definetly need some restrictions lol...)
naaah just need achivment system, and let the people play like they want, but if u do some extra challenge like if do HC witout trade, witout player 5 level more than u, some like that shits at the end u have a 100% mount plus a tittle

Then how are they going to get better in the game to have any hopes at surviving the endgame content to begin with? Although maybe that's the point now that I think of it...
Diablo 2 is a lot more about gear while WoW is about gaining levels - there are similarities in the sense that you get boosted but the advantage you get in WoW are incredibly more impactful.
Preparing 5 hour or more with main character ,getting buffs on alt more than a hour,enchanting all the items,and after a 10 hour preparing going to starter zone and getting killed by a random rogue.

Even if you disable trading what’s stopping your main from following your alt around and keep them safe? Since you make it clear you have two accounts in the video.
Not defending the strategy you suggested but at least in that specific case bots & RMT are not a problem. If the issue is "excessive team work", it's not the end of the world but I get people wanting to conserve Solo Self Found.

If there is absolutely no trading restrictions, isellgold can soon buy a new house with all the gold that me made from the "new hc" players and the whole idea of HC will be watered down.
Gonna be quite hard to farm gold on these servers if blizzard got half a brain and at least try to stop the easy to spot cheaters.
Bots die a lot and so does all the boosters so gold will be very limited and there wont be any GDKP.
