About the bolstering when getting out of the car - I found it to be a lot more comfortable and I no longer crush the bolstering after I disabled the easy exit that moves the seat back when turning off the car. But that might be because I'm on the shorter side. You can set it to full, partial, or off. Maybe if you set it to partial you won't need to sit on the bolstering when exiting? Even if you have it off it still moves the steering wheel out of the way, so there's room.
I have 2023 Lexus IS 350 F Sport. I had mine custom ordered and I got the options I wanted but had to wait 9 months for mine. Make sure to take care of the dark chrome window surround. It will fade back to chrome if not taken care properly.
For me, once I was comfy with getting the steering wheel position, I kept hitting the wiper stalk when I reached for the ignition button. Doing so would turn on the intermittent wipers.took a minute to find a new position for the wheel. +1 for the seat bolster. Also, I haven't fully opened the Sun roof since first receiving the car; just to see if it worked. But, for perspective, when I drive the car, those things plus your other mentioned issues just rinse away. For instance, I'm still impressed by the turning radius of this car. But, no, the tech is not current. Don't forget it still has a CD player. Why???? There's scarce room to store more than a few cases. I also agree with the lack of customizing an order. At least in my area; RWD in a snow area? That forced me out of town to a Lexus dealer NORTH of me. Well, enough of this. Time for a drive!😁
Hey i was able to order a custom is350 incognito exterior with black interior fsport 3 package. They gave me an ETA of 1-3 months so im expecting delivery in november probably... my take on the sunroof is that its a nice feature to have in the summer time just to get more fresh air without having to roll down the windows. As for the interior tech I do agree its pretty outdated, i have the 2024 nx350h right now, and honestly i find the big screen to be a little too distracting for me so i dont mind the trade off for the small is350 screen.
Well you must be the exception that confirms the rule because the 4 dealerships I spoke to all said no custom orders, they said they will work hard to find a match but it wasn't guaranteed. I am glad you got yours custom to your liking that is awesome :)
@CarMarketGuy yeah, it does suck tho that I have to wait a few extra months. But atleast when I finally take delivery of it, it will have the exact color ins and outs I want! ❤
The lc500 bolsters on the back rest are huge. I’ve seen them with less than 40k on them and the drivers side is already wrinkling and starting to be misshapen already. A lot of sellers avoid showing that part in photos.
@@CarMarketGuy Drove it down to GA from the Lexus dealership in Durham, NC. It was optioned with every package except for the sunroof, which I lowkey wanted lol
I hate how I still cannot get comfortable driving in the car like where the pedals are located it’s weird for me especially in stop and go traffic it’s like if I have to move my back too much idk how to explain it
@@CarMarketGuy idk if it’s just me or do you feel like that too like the only time I get comfortable is by putting my seat all the way back but then my arms feel to far away from the wheel lol I have the manual telescope steering wheel I’m assuming it goes out the same distance as the electric one lol
lucky for me me , the term infotainment was a term when my car came out, so it wont be so outdated to me. sun roofs aren't a deal breaker , all seats wear out eventually and lexus never had a whole lot of options to customize your order when that was available , so no real issues and it sounds like you enjoy the car a side from a few small things.
I’m with you bro, I won’t even consider a car that has a sunroof. I’m 50 years old and owned dozens of cars and just about every car that I’ve owned with a sunroof usually gets sunroof problems eventually.
In case you missed it here are some of the things I LOVE about this car:

I wouldn't purchase a car without a sunroof. I use it year round
I know I am in a very small group of ppl who do no like it.

I purchased a 2023 a few months back. Your video is spot on! Like you, I still really enjoy the vehicle.

Hey at least when my nephew is older I can tell him all about CDs in a car.
Looks better than a bmw more comfortable

I asked 3 dealers they don't do custom order, only match features
Is this in canada or US? I'm in canada and our car ordering/location is different compared to American dealerships

I never open my sunroof but I drive so much and I get my vitamin d from it at least lol
Hey that's a good use.
I actually have a 2021 IS 350 with no sunroof, I haven't seen any others with the same spec.
For real? Can I ask how or where did u get it?

Yup not a big deal, I love this car, just letting people know not everything is perfect :)
I ordered mine from the dealer I got it in 2 months
Thats awesome :) where is that state wise? I am starting to think is dealers in TX who are the issue

May I know how much is your insurance, full coverage half year?
6 months is $820 paid in full, GAP included, no glass coverage, highest deductible ($2k)

The front grills have looked terrible for years now. Lexus needs a car with a manual shift in it.
