This is a perfect pocket camera. Takes awesome photos. There is no camera that can compete with these specs and fits in your pocket. Money, well it’s only money. Light is right. Brilliant for tramping Great for mountain running. It’s not water resistant but a plastic bag helps. Filters if needed you can get them no problem just look on amazon Nice video Cheers
I have an A7 full frame plus a few sony APSC cameras but as most of the photographs I take for a living are only used online the RX100 Vii is perfect. I'm fed up with lugging around all the gear with a full frame plus as most of what I shoot is outdoors its so small it goes unnoticed.
You can shoot video while looking through the EVF. It is expensive, but other pocket cameras have too many shortcomings. the RX100vi is a little cheaper, but no input mic. The quality in daylight is very good, if you do not need shallow depth of field. Quality is good for publication and print. But I wish the price was 30% cheaper. If you compare a photo of a building with a A6x00 and 16-70mm lens, in daylight there is not so much difference.
@@PavSZ the AF on the vi and vii is so much better, also the viewfinder has been improved. The longer lens is nice. I found an open box mint rx100vi for half price. If someone does not need the evf the xv1 is nice, although maybe not as wide. I shoot 99% of my photos and video with the evf.
Great as a back up camera you can take anywhere in your pocket. Takes much better shots than an i-phone as it can really zoom in on a subject and has a much larger sensor and more mega-pixels than a phone. Also, for street photography no one cares if you take a photo of them as this looks like a toy; use large full frame camera and lens and people give you bad looks. And no one will want to steal this camera when traveling in dodgy areas as it looks like it costs $100.
Would you buy RX100 mk VII with it's a9 specs or would you go for exchangeable lens camera instead?
I bought this camera, is perfect for travel, good quality and compact, it makes sense for blogging also it has the mic input, thanks.
Your spoken English is very good. Great review.

honestly I am super impressed this thing has log. my camera does not even come with vlog. but yeah it is a hefty price for what it is. Great Review!
is it possible to change the focal and shutter speed in video mode ?
Yes. All the settings can be controlled manually

yes, you right. If I was buying one right now, I'd go fo RX100 V with 24-70 f2.8 lens. Overall they are all good pocket cameras but slightly to pricey

Love the size and specs for travel, but not at that price!
My bum looks really nice in this video. 10/10 for this camera.
It's funny how hard you try to avoid being in this video but I spin too much when talking lol
Oh I wasn't avoiding it on purpose, I just didn't want my face to ruin your review
@@dannylees my hang overed face was ruining it already haha
