Legion of Night #1 & 2. Horror comic with great art. Reminiscent of Bernie Wrightson.
I believe Portacio did the art, (inks), on alpha flight #51, (Jim Lee's 1rst work at marvel). Love your videos. Can't wait for the next one!😊
Punisher 10 is such a great book. really interesting take on both Frank and Matt, and their character. I don't remember which issue it is but, there is a Daredevil issue that is not really a continuation, but a different reflection of the same story check that one out too.
I believe it was drawn by John Romita JR.

Was just looking at my wildstorm connecting variants the blue and pink backgroud
X Factor 65 is am awesome Whilce cover. Has the whole X Factor team posing. Also the Punisher 10 issue goes along with Daredevil 257 drawn by JR JR. One is from Punisher perspective and the other is from Daredevil perspective. It's cool to look at both books at the same time and see how each artist presents the material. Uncanny X Men 282 is also one of my favorite covers.
I was just going to leave a comment about the synergy between DD 257 and Punisher 10 and saw your comment. Glad to see not everyone is sleeping on those 2!
A few mentions to add would be Longshot #1 (Whilce inks) and Batman Confidential #1 and Star Wars #107 (final issue)

The 5 year old me read the spine off that uncanny x-men #267 back in 1990. Newsstand of course cause I could only get my comics from rite aid.

Uncanny 282 and 290 are the first to come to mind when I hear Portacio. Before I got into comics heavily, I used to get his art mixed up with Jim Lee's. I'm predicting a Marc Silvestri video coming up since we're talking Image Boys lol.

His Punisher run was extremely underrated.
read his entire Punisher run. issue 14 is great a homage to the Substitute Movies. first time in a Marvel comic some gives the middle finger too.

Great job Regie, Whilce is an amazing artist. just a suggestion but maybe another artist that would be fun to spotlight would be John Byrne I know he has a ton of amaizing artwork but I would be interested to see which ones are your favorite. Keep up the great work.

Great bunch of books Regie. I'm not too familiar with Mr Portacios work, but always liked that Bishop cover.
He’s a super talented dude. Most of the artist that I’ve showcased have a couple of things in common. The biggest is that they were a huge part of my introduction to comics.

Whilce is an underrated genius, totally forgot about those covers until this video, he got so overshadowed by Silvestri and Lee somehow, maybe it was his lower output? 🤷♂
You could potentially be right. He’s super talented but doesn’t necessarily get the same recognition as some of the other Image founders. I enjoyed his work just as much as Lee and Silvestri.
I actually have all but one of the books listed! Just out of curiosity, which X-Factor book were you looking for?
I never really paid attention to artista back in the day. It's great to go back now and look at the art I loved then.

I picked up a copy of Wetworks 1 in a newsstand version just recently from a dollar bin. Great find on an underrated book for sure. Glad you highlighted his work. And why is it that Uncanny X-Men 282 is worth more than Uncanny X-Men 283? It's like a twist on the age old argument over Wolverine's first appearance in Hulk 180 versus Hulk 181. When will the market understand???
The wrinkle is that 282 is a first cover as well.
He did a combining covers poster. It was made-up of 8 covers. It looks really cool all put together.. I Will sent you a picture of it on Instagram.
I have #282 and #290 of X-Men is my favorite.
