I really appreciated Tom and the Dice Tower back in the day. I'm still subbed to the channel, but I had to turn off the notifications because I couldn't keep up with a few videos a day. I may double check a purchase with a Dice Tower review, but I don't have the time to casually go through the content. Nice guy. I'm glad that he makes a living from it.
I will have to say if it weren't for Wil Wheaton and Felicia Day, I wouldn't have gotten into board gaming. He got me into the hobby, then I started watching board gaming channels and liked Dice Tower the most. And it's true he did contribute a lot that they called a surge in board game sales the "Wheaton Effect." What ever game he featured had a huge surge in sales that week/month. So, whether or not people liked him, he's a minor celebrity, he had a board gaming series, he helped bring in a lot of people because of that. I did find his show very entertaining and even Tom does an occasional show similar to Table Top, though I think there only might be 3 episodes he did in that vein. I hope Tom makes more of those types of shows, but he did say it takes a lot of time to make them.
The man is a machine I saw it first hand . the sad part of the Wheaton thing is he and Felicia had a falling out and the series was short lived but Tom has been consistent and a mainstay on all media platforms and deserves a lot of credit for the board gaming boom
I liked watching Will Wheaton's tabletop. It was entertaining at least to me. I like Dice Tower too. Zee cracks me up. I like your channel too Rob. You are great on your own. Anyways, see you in the next one.
You are true gentlemen Rob. I have always been a fan of the dice tower and continue to watch most of their content, but your easy going and kind nature attracted me to your channel and you definitely deserve more views and subscribers.
Wait people are giving Will Wheaton that much credit? Yikes. The dude barely gets the rules right. I'm sure he tries his best but he is just a pretty face with a big nerd backing because he was a side character in Star Trek. Maybe if Will would have continued his Tabletop series and brought on developers, producers, and other influencers it would have shown a greater purpose and would start getting to a point of proper recognition, but there is no way people are actually giving him praise even remotely close to that of the work of Tom. I don't believe it.
Wil Wheaton has been a leech on everything nerd related for a long time. Tom and the Dice Tower were the originals and done more for board gaming than anyone.

It did happen That’s why I said what I said Tom deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.
Would love for you to return
I would like too but my time has passed and I loved the time I was there

As I stated
