I just ordered the Better Press and so excited that Altenew is making plates! Two great companies joining together, fabulous. Thanks for inspiring water coloring with the Altenew watercolor markers. Can’t wait to try this and order these plates!

I give you a ton of credit for saving the card!!! I myself would have yelled every obscenity known to mankind and made up some new "words" in the process! The whole neighborhood would have heard me!! The alcohol markers made a huge difference and the card turned out okay! Great save!!!
I am so so glad that you did this video on the Better Press...your's us the first one I have seen where the artist does what they do regularly regardless of the paper used! It definitely opened up how it can be used!

I'm so impressed with how you "recovered" from the ink spill! That card turned out to be my favorite. Adding the marker detail made all the difference!
My heart jumped when all that teal ink spilled out. I can't believe you were able to make such a pretty card out of that hot mess.
I was surprised after the first time you had the ink bomb on your card you opened another pen right over your work. I was very impressed that you were quick enough to be able to disperse that ink blob. That turned out to be a beautiful card. I am surprised to see you using the better press I didn’t think you would jump on that bandwagon so quickly. With that said I got my better press a little over a week ago and have enjoyed playing with it. I love all the videos out there with people sharing how to use other much less expensive paper. I am so glad that altenew is releasing plates for the better press. There are so many hacks out there using different paper and inks. I usually don’t buy a new tool until it has been on the market for years but it is from a company that I trust and I know will make it right if there ends up being flawed in any way. Sorry for the novel length comment

Great Save on your card. It obliterated the better press precision delicate details in the stamping, but you are a magician in your copic coloring skills in getting depth & form. I do think you have put it thru the test of what products you can you. I was impressed with all that water, the words never dulled, they were still beautifully crisp. That was fun to see. Altenew’s artwork is gorgeous.
Pretty cards! I really like the look of the more freeform watercoloring. I think we sometimes forget that we don't have to be perfect in our crafting and this loose look is lovely.

Oh my, creative Kelly. The first card is lovely. Not so much a fan of the 2nd card or the new machine. But think Altenew is wonderful for jumping on the stage to make these plates since this seems to be a very popular machine.

Hi Kelly. I love that Altenew is making plates to use with the Better Press system. Thank you for experimenting with watercolor and alcohol markers on this card. I was curious if they would work. You amaze me with your ability to take any unexpected thing, like a pen leaking on your card, an us it to to turn it into an amazing card. I wish I had your talent❤

I love how you recovered your card from your unplanned event. This happens to me sometimes. Sometimes recoverable sometimes not. It is nice to see Altenew releasing Betterpress plates.

Please forgive jumbled verbiage, but I’m driving while watching and commenting. Lol! I love both cards but truthfully, the one you said is a hot mess. I love @journeycoachjenn ‘s BetterPress video & Dawn from Wplus9. You can do a whole lot more with this great tool. I like that the design is embedded in the paper & not just sitting on top like a stamped image is. Love your project Kelly.

Ah Miss Kelly, completely Kelly cards! I love your spin on these!!! You never disappoint. All of the brush markers, the alcohol markers, Obsidian ink(my favorite) and such made such beautiful eye candy I guess is the word. :) I'm all for trying different techniques and different products with other products, kind of breaking the rules and having fun. Holy moley!!! That start had me in a tizzy! All the color really made such a gorgeous card.

Wow, what a save on your second card. I would have probably thrown it away and started over but you pulled it off and it turned out beautifully. I'm not a good painted but I will continue trying. So much fun.

I’m glad you were able to share that the betterpress ink isn’t the only one that can be used. I’m at the ‘I’m interested, but not ready to commit’ stage. It’s also great to know other companies are already on the bandwagon so the source isn’t limited like the foil systems were initially. The only other thing I’ve heard (Justine Hovey did a break down of it earlier this week) is that the paper is pricey.
Your cards are beautiful! You should keep a few pieces of card stock next to you for when you’re ink smushing. It’s a great way to ‘not waste’ and get some interesting backgrounds or paper that you can use for layered die cuts. That’s my ‘waste not want not’ motto…lol.

Nice save on the teal ink. I bet the Better Press would be fantastic with real watercolor paper and paints too. I will have to wait until Christmas to get mine since, according to my family, I’m hard to shop for and need to save some things for them to buy me during the holidays. lol. I think this would be perfect for my 2 20-something year old sons to get me. 😊

Dawn did a gorgeous watercolor, it was a WOW! Well I was hesitant to add water to the paper after I did the image but I guess it doesn't matter.

Yes it’s different than just stamping; it embosses the image.
