U couldn't find 1 black market in a favela? No disrespect but I thought Brazil was a bit like the US. There are regulations but always people that side step them
Just picked up FAL it’s a Enterprise arms 16inch metric pattern and has the surplus Milled receiver have 40+ rounds so good so far it’s just a bad ass looking gun
I have an 18” Congo being built by DSA right now. I want to get a Halbek device for it. Due to the extra 2” barrel, should I be able to use a standard Halbek (if I can find one), or would I need a modified one like you mentioned for the 16” Congo?
Hey there, I am currently considering ordering the exact rifle you mentioned in this comment a year ago. Did you end up getting ahold of one? If so, any regrets, pros or cons? I'm on the fence since DSA has such crap QC apparently. Thanks for your time!
Is there more wear and tear on the internals of the para? Is the folding stock worth it? Is the papa version just as reliable as the standard rifle? It'll be my travel/get home rifle.... to be kept in a recess in the back seat of my truck.
As of right now, there is no excessive wear on the internals of this rifle. So far, I fired roughly 2,000 rounds through it. Yes, the Para setup is as reliable as the standard one. In my opinion worth the money, I love mine!
Good morning mate. Firstly congratulations for the videos. I have a question about the position in which you use the sling on your FAL stock. I don't like the original hitch spot, I find it uncomfortable, especially for transport. As the stock is made of polymer, is there any risk of breakage when using the sling on the stock? My weapon is a PARAFAL IMBEL. Thanks.
I do not have any issues with the sling on my stock. It does slide a little bit but you can get used to it. The stock is made out of aluminum so therefore I am not worried of breaking it.
@@thefalguy9848 So, I thought about using the sling like you do, but my PARAFAL is an IMBEL, and its stock is polymer and I'm afraid it will break. The problem is that if it breaks down here in Brazil, there are no easy-to-find replacement parts like there in the US. But one day we will reach your level. Thanks!
DS Arms builds very nice FALs, many poor shooters blame their products on their own inability to operate that rifle. Ive trained with and carried a FAL since the 70's and these folks that run DSA down are liars and blaming the company instead of looking in the mirror at the problem.
I have not had much experience with it yet. The 18" barrel adds to the accuracy of the rifle and better bullet stability so that's huge. But I don't know if it's much better than a 16" Para. I need to test one on that.

Dankie tog. Appreciate the support from South Africa. Always true to our hearts and lifestyle 👌🏼
Lots of South African farmers up here in North Dakota. I hear Afrikaans up here all the time.
Interested to see how the reworked Halbek device works - really wish DSA would reproduce them.

Congrat's for the video. I have one made in Brasil by Imbel and it's very good rifle, with high durability.
Awesome, good to hear
Is that the SA5816CP-A model?
Thanks for the videos. Not enough fal content out there in my opinion, not compared to ar and ak stuff.

Where are you from?
which do you prefer, the 16 or 18 inch barrel on these?
16" for better maneuverability and compactness. 18" for slightly better accuracy.
what barrel size would you recommend? ?
You typically get more millage for your cartridge between 18-20in

Adjust the gas system to the load and it runs great.
My main problem with any Para I know of, is the aluminum lower(what kept me away from DS Arms rifles for so long). I much prefer a steel lower frame.
Then just buy a steel lower and swap in all the parts. Sell or keep the aluminum lower. Simple.

30rd straight FAL mag

21"
