- Did you know the DSA SA58 PARA FAL can be upgraded into a more modern setup? In this short video we will have a look at 2 upgrades:
- Picatinny handguard (made by DSA and discontinued - big sad)
- SAW-style pistol grip

Nice bru!!! I like those upgrades. Definitely think it was the stiff spring in the KCI Mag, glad I could see the feed issues you had with it, I must be slightly over-gassing my FAL so it runs harder to feed, or mine just like the mags heh. Cheers!!!!
Could be either to get the mag to run. I did have a few more issues with the KCI on my Para and 21" FAL.
@@thefalguy9848 Very interesting, gotta be the spring stiffness/ tension in the mags then (maybe the feed lips too).
@@DJTheMetalheadMercenaryI would say so. I did notice the feed lips were extremely sharp and slightly different than regular FAL feed lips.

I've always wondered how accurate the modernized SA58 iron sights are. Is it as good as the AK and standard AR-15 iron sights? Also love the channel bro 🙏
I would say the regular irons are awesome on the FAL. They are adjustable and offer a good sight picture. I'n working on a video covering them

What are some good alternatives to DS mags? Also, what weapon light are you using?
Surefire M300 Scout light. And right now there is no good alternative to DSA mags. They run and work if properly fine tuned. Your best bet is surplus steel.
Might sound like a weird question but as a euro I must ask, how are gun laws in SA ?
The licensing process takes a very long time unfortunately. But apart from that there are many different types of firearms for sale, no mag restrictions and there is a growing firearms community in SA.

My 16" Para FAL. Shoots smooth, is reliable and accurate
How is the accuracy difference between the 16” in this video and your 11” osw?
The 16" has definitely more accuracy, hands down, and it's an extremely smooth shooting firearm. The 11" is more violent in terms of recoil and slightly harder to control but fun to shoot. You do lose accuracy due to the shorter barrel though
@@thefalguy9848 cool, does your suppressed osw function good and worth it? I’m currently trying to figure out if I want to build the 11” battle rifle or 16” more of a dmr set up
@@snowcamo11 I would say a 16" as a DMR is low-key not as accurate as an 18 or 21". If you want to go for DMR I would recommend the 21" FAL. That's what many police/ military units in South America and South Africa rock as DMR.
The 16 and the 11" ones are intended as "battle rifles". I use them for anything between 0-400m (16") and 0-200m (11"). I can hit targets outside of that distance but just with more effort and the velocity of the bullet does decrease.
My suppressed SBR is top notch. No complaints whatsoever on it. Except that tightening the muzzle brake and using Rocksett or whatever to ensure it stays on there. With constant supressor use and me taking it off/ on I was able to loosen the brake...
how good is that muzzle device?
Good. It's the standard belgian-style muzzle brake and works fine.
