    I WAS ABLE TO PROPERLY CALIBRATE THE LEAVING WATER TEMP SENSOR. I FORGET TO MENTION THAT I ALSO HAD TO MODIFY THE START-UP DELTA TO GET THE CHILLER TO START UP.

      @@Eddy63 they are single screw with 2 gate rotors. The end is the oil separator. I like them. They are extremely heavy though

    Those compressors sound crazy winding down. Good video JJ.

    Good stuff, Jason! Why can we not get better sensors? Seems like everyone has trouble. What type of sensors are they?

    • @jasonjohnsonHVAC
      @jasonjohnsonHVAC  Місяць тому +1

      @EverythingHVACR 😄😄😄😄😄.....sure seems to be the case. I'm not entirely sure what type of sensor it is. I can assume it's a standard 10k type 2 or 3. I could be way off though. It would be the first one I would replace. I've been able to get away with offsets so far. I would like to think its a standard kind of thermistor.

    Nice vídeo. Do you have any clue why the compressors work on 80hz instead of 50hz or 60hz? That got me thinking

    • @jasonjohnsonHVAC
      @jasonjohnsonHVAC  Місяць тому

      @NewDestinationEng compressors aren't ran like a traditional motor, say like a blower. Most variable speed compressors are running above 60hz. I know the York ones run at 200hz at full speed. Hyper heat mini split one get up to 300hz. It was designed to take the speed above utility power. You can overclock a blower on a VFD as well if you wanted to, it wasn't designed to do so per say...but its possible. It's about a larger capacity control which is used for load matching. I rarely see them running at full speed. Even in the dead of summer it isn't uncommon to see one running at 40,50,60hz.

    Badass! Let me ask you a dum question, how far do you need the water temp thermometers in Pete’s plugs to get an accurate water temp? I’ve had problems for years getting some to in all the way or even at all sometimes, I realized recently it looks like, sometimes with then halfway or so In the Pete’s plug the temp reading is just as accurate.

    • @jasonjohnsonHVAC
      @jasonjohnsonHVAC  Місяць тому

      @@BleedingEdgeHVACR only far enough to get into the flow. Some of those Pete's plug adapter are like 3'-4" tall, some are shorter. The piercing tip should be small in diameter if it's kinda rounded it'll be a pain. I have adapters that I use my Testo gen 1's to check PSID.

      @@jasonjohnsonHVAC oh what, do you mean your adaptors are like 1/4” sae to the narrow needle style that the Pete’s plug thermometers are? So they fit in those ports?

      @jasonjohnsonHVAC  Місяць тому

      @BleedingEdgeHVACR sure is. Most the guys i work with use their Testo's as well. Better than carrying around analog gauges and they can be zeroed every time. I have a video or 2 with me using them
