Did I see that right, that the new tessalation is not like the old and the avatars clip through the ground with the "fake deepness"..?
    Or didn´t you use personas..?

The avatars feet will "clip" through the ground because the "tessalation island" is not made up of a complex mesh but it looks like one, therefore the collision bounding box is not accurate.
The advantage is that you can simulate a complex mesh without the high polygon count!! This is a significant advantage in iC6 over previous version! I plan to use this feature very often!
Workaround is to use a different camera for shots where the feet will be seen clearly. Or plant some grass or sand dust particles or overlays, whichever works contextually for your shot.

Ok, so the new feature is bullshit!! what for should I design my ground, when my avatar can´t follow it ..???
      Tatally fail!!
They destroyed the old "land-maker" for a fail!!
The old "land-maker" changed the mesh, too - and all was ok!!
So iC6 is really a ruin - prolly the end of iClone instead the big jump and evolution!

movietester100 actually you can displace the ground to your specifications and have it walk properly on the displacement. Jason did a great job at demonstrating the feature but he is still new to iclone 6. in order to make it walk on the displacement you have to first do your tweaks to the ground, once you like it, convert it to terrain. and them dont forget to turn on "foot contact" on your avatar. then it will work like you expect. Cheers.

Really..? Can you make a testclip and load it up..?
      Thanx!

+movietester100 No, actually you cannot do this -- you can't get a character to walk on displacement. See this thread: forum.reallusion.com/255976/Cant-get-a-displacement-object-useful-as-terrain#bm256006
