3 questions 1-How long did this take to make 2-Are any scripts used(im on xbox) 3-any mods Asking these question as i want to build a small grid carrier
What keen needs to do for its second iteration is do away with the large and small grid profiles and merge em into 1... Start with a small grid scale with large grid blocks exactly 3x3 the size of the small blocks. The artistic and functional potential of mixing block sizes in vanilla without setting up janky rotor or piston connections would be absolutely insane. On the practical side, the hull of a ship could be made thick and tough while the interior could be carefully designed with functionality and aesthetics in mind where you can have a 1/3rd block thick wall with a flush door instead of a massive bulkhead between every room.
Large grid is 125x the size of small, in regards to the armor blocks, though. 5x5x5. I absolutely love the idea, would make building entryways for land-locked bases so much easier too.
Man I really miss the small ships gone large stuff. I remember back on launch there was such a big influx of those once people realized how detailed you could make them, back in the day some of the best builders made large small ships
Suspension gasses does actually make sense! Lol, have you seen how off road shocks for trucks have the extra tanks for gas and oil flow from the strut?
That's gotta be the sexiest pancake I've ever seen. Something I noticed though was that the cockpit suggests that the crew compliment is four or so, and the general size of things kinda bears that out, but it looks like there's only two bunks. I guess they could be sharing bunks like they do on submarines.
I think it's been 4-5+ years since I last watched your channel, and I VIVIDLY remember the amazing things you would showcase from the creative minds of those who used the (at the time) limited options available to make the most incredible creations. Glad this popped up on my front page, and glad to see your channel still doing well o7
Seeing this it feels like this game should be small grid only. It doesnt even look like its made of blocks and more like 3d model which was created to look exactly like its supposed to.

the interior kinda gives me Red Dwarf vibes. the high detail industrial environment with bunk rooms and cafeterias make me feel like im looking at the spacebug

Definitely gonna try to get into making big small grid ships now. Really let me see the advantages over large grids. (I'm not very good at building anyway, very practical at the moment lol) Wish me luck!
If they’re going to put sub grids on the ship anyway, I’m surprised they didn’t sub grid a jump drive onto it. That, and the inclusion of some more substantial storage would make sense for a “cargo ship.”

What even weirder is that I've never played SE. I've just remembered I do actually own the game. Yet I've been watching for so many years. I remember before multiplayer. I don't even know if that's old but I watched a video where a guy discussed combat methods in a 'potential future multiplayer' and I've never seen anyone do any of them lol

Aaron try checking out Stalker. it's a fantastic game and I think you'd like playing it/we'd love watching it. There is also the Stalker anomaly mod which changes everything and turns the game into "Stalker Tarkov" but in a fun way (gun modding, realistic accesories, etc.) There is a great lets play by OperatorDrewski which shows it off pretty well: ua-cam.com/video/Mn_nCtJ044w/v-deo.html
The reason why you always record it in two separate stages, one video and one audio so we don’t hear the clicking of your keyboard and two it gives for a smoother video

I absolutely love small grid large ships. They have SO much detail poured into them, they look amazing.
The Proxima is a beautifully made ship and seems like a fully realized vision.
