THANK YOU SO MUCH for getting right to why I clicked on this video. You picked up the weight turned it showed the bottom and rolled it around and said who you thought made it. THANK YOU

@@saltandvin your incorrect....the only seconds etching used by Caithness is CIG..CIIG.. C2 and in recent years decided to NOT have any etchings on their bases which would indicate them to be seconds.
@@No1Starman well i have Caithness paper weight marked clii and its a common design for Caithness so while it might be a forgery i really dont think people are foraging cheap Caithness seconds so im going to have to assume you are wrong
I would love to own a Paul Stankard paperweight. I saw a video on how they’re made and I fell in love. I collect William Rolfe’s scenic paperweights but they are resin/acrylic not glass.
Those paperweights are beautiful. Great buy should make you a good turnaround. I've never heard of dump glass paperweights. I love art glass, especially cobalt blue. Thank you Edward♥
Love love these paper weights especially the lucite ones. You really scored with this particular haul. So coincidental that I was just looking at Murano glass blowing classes and walking tours of Murano, Italy. Not all Murano pieces are signed or labelled. I have a set of 3 apples which have labels and 2 small vases which are unsigned but I know for a fact that they are Murano glass as I had purchased them as retail new collectables back in about 2004 or 2005. By the way the designs in the objects seems to celebrate the New Year perfectly. 🎊🎉🍀 Enjoy.
hi carol, thank you for your comment and support as always, appreciate it, i must get over to the island of murano and watch glass making myself, it is said to be the best in the world
I have started collecting paperweights I have twenty big ones are called magnums from charity shops I have one with the same sign need to research cllc
I dont know whether you can help me with something i purchased with some paperweights, i have what looks to be a confetti type ink well,i have tried to find the signature H.G.W 659 but cannot find anything, have you ever come across that signature in glass ?, TIA.
Hi thank you for your comment I would really need to see the weight to give me an idea where to start looking. There is a paperweight group on Facebook called paperweight heaven that’s where I go if I need help
@@AntiquesArena thank you for taking time out to respond and your advice, I will have a look and join, I'm convinced it is an inkwell rather than a paperweight but I'm sure someone will tell me otherwise, thanks again 😁
@@AntiquesArena thank you,I had no joy with paperweight heaven, they denied my join request so I have popped it on collector's uk, I'm sure someone will know what it is,if not it will be fun seeing the possibilities.

@UCAh0S7HwmZJvT2Mql1ct2lg I was referring to your "ANOTHER" variation. They never used that etching you show in your variation...
