Chibi is a sparrow. Her owners found her when she fell from a nest. They took her in but wanted to release her, but Chibi wanted to stay close to them, even though she is a free bird. She has a big personality and loves walks outside. Her owners love her.

It's easy to overlook sparrows because they are small AND plain.. They are all over,. They are just as smart as any bird but they JUST use different stratagies..., THEY ARE Tough little birds,. They are up first AND last to bed,, They are the most tolerant of cold AND rain and wind..., THEY Don't need that much to eat but they eat many things....hulked roasted unsalted peanuts, sunflower and other nuts are best but they Like bread too .. THEY learn fast and recognize you well... They will only follow you sbiut6s block from the bush or tree They LIVE at

I did not know that a wild bird would be so happy living in and out of a human’s house! How adorable she is. A happy ending, for sure. (Or maybe she will have babies and the story will continue?)

When you raise a wild bird and socialize with it the bird 'imprints' on you. This means it sees you as its family..it believes itself to be of your species, so to speak! If you release it it will never really ' fit in' with its own kind. They learn a lot from their parents, only so much is 'Nature' a lot of what makes a bird 'fit in' is 'Nurture'!
Don't feel as tho you are depriving her of anything if you let her be free in your home, socialize with her daily and supply a proper diet. She never faces starvation, severe weather, accidents like being hit by a car or predators! She truly lives in 'Eady Street'! She sees you as family so she's never lonely!
Just be very careful with her outside. She has not learned to fear predators. A Cat could grab her and even if it did not bite her the bacteria in their mouths are deadly to birds! Falcons also are always on the hunt for small birds.
I've had many birds in my long life and few were as funny, intelligent and loving as a House Sparrow.

Never waste a minute with your sweet little bird. They are never around long enough!
