It’s nice to see people allowing their birds to free fly, as there are a lot of benefits to it. They get exercise, meaning they are slightly less destructive than usual. This also means in the off chance that the bird escapes, it is fully aware of how to get back home. Many bird owners will trim the wings, which doesn’t prevent the bird from flying, it only makes it more difficult to fly properly.
Wing clipping is a horrible thing to do.... disabling a bird :( Their respiratory system is made to work optimally during flight, so flight is essential for all but injured and infirm (and flightless!) birds, imho.
@@michelehemlokhexwhite4310 yeah I only agree with wing clipping if you're say raising birds like Morgan Gold of Gold Shaw Farms here on YT - he raises ducks, geese, chickens, and recently some cows, and he clips some flight feathers. It's not like they ever try to fly away anyway, if raised from egg domestically and have food and water sources they won't typically leave the flock lol, he does it "just incase" as they seldom fly anywhere, but he doesn't want to remove their ability to do so incase a muskrat gets passed his guard dogs or something, the birds still have some ability to fly away a short distance.

Ravens are EXTREMELY intelligent and inquisitive. I recommend everyone interact with one with food at least once. It’s almost like interacting with a person.
I don't think any animal wants to be mean. And especially with domestic animals I still believe you can even take a very feral cat and love it into a gentle pet. Sir, you have the right technique there...
I think so too. “Mean” animals are usually just hurt and scared. Sometimes people don’t understand that it needs a lot of time and patience (and acceptance) until they become calmer around humans again (not tame or friendly, just calm, the rest comes later) they just want to force it to happen quickly. And even if their intentions are the absolute best, it ends up hurting the animal more, and maybe people get hurt in the process as well - and then the animal is being branded as “mean”. I managed to tame some wild kittens with patience too. I did it similarly how this man did, I just sat around in their presence minding my business, just to have them get used to my presence. I’d put some food nearby just in case they felt like eating a bit, and also left food out for a bit more after I left them alone to make sure they eat well, but also to associate my presence with food. That eventually became the key, and they’d come out of hiding curious and expectant when they heard me because they wanted food, and me = food. Eventually they’d realise that I mean no harm, and would actually run up to the plate and start eating as I was still in the process of putting out their food. Months went by and now they’re content sitting on my lap and getting pets, sleeping while I’m in the same room, playing with my stuff, and have zoomies all around the place. It’s an incredibly rewarding process. It’s awesome to look at these blurry pictures I took from them from very far away through a window, because at the time they’d still run away when they saw me, and then compare that to having to perform a whole ballet routine around them because they’re constantly under my feet and I’m trying hard not to step on anyone. It’s day and night. Being able to do that for an animal is an incredible experience.
@Kole "Truth is not what you want it to be; it is what it is. And you must bend to its power or live a lie." Miyamoto Musashi Kole you are wrong. Data & Statistics, time & time again show this basically is a Fact. With only certain exceptions. There are Tribes in Africa that have friendly Lions strolling around them, and they are not a threat to people in these areas. Why? It is because they are shown Love & Affection. Go to Russia. People have Bears as pets. Not only that a majority of "Wild" Bears are friendly Statistically Speaking. Why is this? It is conjectured that over the centuries the populous was overall friendly to these Creatures. Again showing Love & Affection. Therefore it can be common to see a bear walk up to people because it needs something like Food, Water, or possibly even medical attention as some examples. I can go on, and on, and on with so many examples/Data Points. Also I am glad you mentioned feral Cats. I have helped to domesticate so many feral Cats in my life, and save their lives. Doing so removes the threat of them being feral, and a danger overall. Once they are domesticated, and are given a proper home, it helps to remove the rampant feral Cat problem. To state the obvious the reason why is because they are not out there breeding without restraint. Statistically speaking simply spading and fixing feral Cats does really nothing to mitigate the overall problem. It is because they are still out there posing as a threat through their wild tendencies. Data shows fixed feral Cats actually causes feral Cats in an area to come together. So those who are not fixed will start to breed at a greater rate because of this. Again going back to the top the best solution is to show them Love & Affection, and to domesticate them. I recall one of the wildest feral Cats I came across was incredibly Violent. I had to wear thick clothing, and Gloves when I interacted with it. For a little over a Month straight I spent an hour a day with this animal. When I started interacting with the Cat initially it would charge at me, and attack me. Trying to Bite, and claw me. I simply would grab the Cat by one hand, and started petting it with the other. Well I could not do that for very long the first few days. The Cat would break free, and run from me. So i remained in the Cats presence for the Hour. As the Days went by the Cat stopped trying to Attack me. I would then go up to the Cat to pet it, and it would his, and try to fight me. Again I would grab the Cat with one hand, and start petting it with the other. As the weeks went by the Cat became more, and more docile. Eventually the Cat finally started to come up to me wanting be petted, and shown affection. So the Cat was then taken out of Captivity, and was found a New forever home. The last time I checked up on the Animal I saw that they are doing just great! I am told they are an absolute lovebug that wants affection often. They no longer have Violent tendencies, and are a complete 180 of what they were before. Logically looking at things, and speaking Love & Affection is really the solution to all Violence. Here is one last example from India. There are groups of people who have Asps, Cobras, and other venomous Snakes that live with them. As well as within the community. They do not pose a Threat to the people because they are treated right by the People. They are shown Love & Affection when brought into the homes, or when they are just held/petted overall. As well as when they are given Food & Water. As that old adage goes they don't bite the hand that feeds them. Again I can go on, and on, and on.
@@Draverd While I do agree that helps with feral cats, I'd be hesitant to use wild/exotic animals as examples of domestication, because a lot of the time, the people that own certain exotic animals are specially trained and know about how to care for them/provide for their specialized needs, and even if a wild/exotic animal is cared for by humans to a point that it's not able to be released back to the wild, it doesn't mean it's domesticated (especially since the act of domestication has to happen over several generations in order for the pet to gain the domestication gene, as what has happened with dogs and cats over the centuries). I do agree that giving animals love is important, just that I think it should be made clear that not just anyone can care for a wild/exotic pet (and even the best professionals can mess-up too).
@@Scarshadow666 @Pheonixtail Dragonlore I see and understand where you are coming from. Let's make a distinction. There is a difference between tame, and domesticated. The Deadly Snakes in that area in India for all intents and purposes are Domesticated. They pose no threat to the Populous. That being said just because an Animal is Tame, or Domesticated, does not mean it is not Dangerous. I would share with you links to these things I talk about, but the system would more than likely take down the comment. I have a few more stories to share. In the Middle East there is a Family who has a Pet Crocodile that is completely safe to be around. This Crocodile is actually famous in the area. It walks around town as well posing no threat. Heck they have Chickens that run around, and the Crocodile has not once attacked, or ate one! This Crocodile is around 80 Years old right now. The way they acquired the Animal is interesting. They encountered it as a youngling out in the wild. The Crocodile followed this Family so they thought they would bring it home for a short time. That they would give it care, and release it back in the wild. Well they released the Animal multiple times. It got to the point that the Crocodile knew exactly where they lived, and would walk back to their home each time. So it became a part of the Family/Town. Another takes place at one of the National Parks in the USA. In this National Park there is a group of Mountain Lions, and Bears that get along. The Park Rangers have talked about how they see them hunt, and eat together. So they have come together and coexist helping each other out. For the last story there is a couple (Husband & Wife) who run a Bear rescue. Long story short all the Bears they have are loving caring Animals. They walk around, and interact with these Animals. The interviewer asked them something along the lines " Have you ever been injured by them?" Which they told them all the time. That the Bears claws are sharp, and that they get cut frequently, but never anything severe or life threatening. That this happens because these Animals just don't realize their Strength. So again Love & affection is the answer to all of life's problems. Imagine some day the world population is 100 Billion. The people will have to be like Russia, or that town in India, and coexist with the wildlife. So basically tame all wild life, that is near Towns/Cites/and where people live overall, at some point. My Final two cents. I am a Christian, and as a Christian I feel compelled to share with everyone the Gospel, at least once, through one verse. John 6:40 "For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.” Sadly it appears a lot of so called "Christians" are not who they claim to be. It is because they are ignorant of the scriptures, and they love to take things out of context. They do not turn the Cheek. They do not Love thy Neighbor as thyself. They do not forgive continuously, and leave the past in the past. Instead they attack, and condemn others. They call others sinners, and demand that they stop sinning. When they themselves are being hypocrites! Everyone is going to Sin until either the day we die, or until we are caught up in the air. The thing is believers will be refined as they live, and will take part in it less and less. On top of that everyone is born with Sin. Before they have taken even one action in life they are indwelt with sin. Love AKA Jesus is the answer, and people can only come to the Father by Jesus AKA Love. They can not fake Love & Sincerity since God is love. Therefore he knows those who have him, and those who do not. Lastly we are told he will provide a way out for you. That is as long as you call upon his name ask for it. Love & Peace
OMG, I've known Loki but I didn't know he was at a family at first who mistreated him. :( I'm glad he's okay now. He's such a silly raven full of love.
I've volunteered in this aviary a few times before, the people and birds are amazing. Loki is such a special bird and getting to meet a raven in person for the first time was magical! I've never forgotten my adventures at that place and the birds there will always have a special place in my heart (especially the very cheeky loki)
he may have been introduced to the wrong humans at first, but he definitely ended up with the right humans who can show him the love and respect he deserves. Such a clever boy :')
GWAH Dangit he's awesome! Ravens are super smart & charismatic birds, it's actually insane what they're able to be taught & pick up on their own by just observing us ETC. Glad he's got a forever home and family that lets him live his best life & know what it's liked to be loved/appreciated 👍
Captive bred raven is so wrong right there. I appreciate that Loki has caring caretakers now who truly love him and help him heal, to be more content and feel safe, yet free.
You're a good man and I appreciate the love and support that you provide these Ravens'. I wish for all people to have loving hearts for all animals. Thank you for your wonderful compassion and care!
I feed wild crows and ravens, plus other wild birds and deer. They're beautiful, intelligent, and funny. And treat me every day with their songs. I am happy you made a mate for life. Lots of love to Loki.
Have the Ravens left you any gifts? I saw a few ravens in my neighborhood by the lake. I wish I had some fruit on me to give them but I was empty handed. I know they remember kindness and become friends with people who treat them well. Very unique, very intelligent birds.
Your kindness is overwhelming. If only humans were so towards other humans regardless of skin color, religious beliefs or economical status this Earth would be paradise. But at this moment I settled for a kind man being kind to a breathing soul with feathers 🌎🙏
Two visit me everyday. I can always spot them flying far away because one has a leg that sticks out even when flying. They watch me from a tree outside my windows. They are stoked for corn chips and other stuff I throw out in different directions so one can’t monopolize it and stack up a giant mouthful. Haha they are funny and smart. I know because they look me right in the eyes and some animals don’t focus that way.
I wonder what "Gwah" means in raven-speak. Loki is probably laughing because he is getting Elliot to say PROFANITIES. Aren't those usually the first words we learn in other languages?!?
IMHO, :"Gwah" is basically how a human would pronounce a raven's natural caw. So he started speaking "Gwah" with a human accent, which encouraged the humans to "Gwah" back to him. In effect, Loki was *teaching Elliot his own call-back,* so they can "ping" one another just like ravens in the wild do! When Loki's particularly happy he'll revert to making normal raven croaks. Watch how when he's petted he'll start croaking or tail-wagging. That's a *really* happy bird there.
It's very refreshing someone knows the difference between Ravens and Crows. So many youtubers call Ravens Crows. The beak is different much like the difference between Trout and Salmon.
What a glorious bird. He has bonded with you hence the cronking sound he makes. They are fabulous creatures. I have yet to meet a raven but there is an abundance of rooks where I live and other corvids. They are such intelligent creatures. Lucky you and lucky Loki to be part of each others' lives.
Oh my god this is brilliant. I think it's incredible this guy took him in and rehabilitated Loki mentally. I love his name. To see him basically hug this guy, is so cool and so touching. He really found the nest human in the world that would give him the attention he deserves. So brilliant.
It's interesting that the way you deal with grieving animals happens to be similar to the way you deal with animals that distrust people and with animals that are wild too. They just like company, no obstructive behaviours. They like being spoke to even if they don't understand. They like getting attention so long as it's warranted and they absolutely love free food.
I so appreciate your kindness to Loki. What a beautiful story. I've always felt an affinity with crow birds of any sort & the thought that someone hurt Loki, really breaks my heart. SO GLAD he ended up with you & that you are so kind. Thank you for healing him.
He's wonderful! Your so kind to bring him love and a decent home! I wish all humans were so compassionate towards our animal brothers and sisters! Thank you for sharing this!
Thank you so much for being kind to him. I’ll never understand why people mistreat animals. The same things should be done to them and see how they like it!
That's a lovely uplifting story and a great ending for this crow. Having an animal companion like this can make a huge difference to the human condition
... maybe just by giving a different perspective ? ... but You have to be one of those ... certain? rare? special? humans to be able to "see" their fear, to "feel" their needs . . . but then again, maybe you allready tried you gift on " " humans " " 😘

John 6:40
"For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”
Sadly it appears a lot of so called "Christians" are not who they claim to be.
I am proud of YOU, Elliot. What a wonderful ending.
OMG, I've known Loki but I didn't know he was at a family at first who mistreated him. :(
I'm glad he's okay now. He's such a silly raven full of love.
Aw, you know Loki? That’s awesome. We’re jealous!
What a beautiful bond they share . Loki’s human is an amazing , loving and kind caretaker.
❤️
"GWAH" (hope I'm not cursing--lol)! What an amazing raven he is and how gently his owner worked with him to accept him!
I've volunteered in this aviary a few times before, the people and birds are amazing. Loki is such a special bird and getting to meet a raven in person for the first time was magical! I've never forgotten my adventures at that place and the birds there will always have a special place in my heart (especially the very cheeky loki)
GWAH ❤️Loki is STUNNING ❤️ So glad this kind man mended Loki's heart!
We agree!
Poor man. He was abandoned and mistreated. Good to see that the raven was able to help.
ravens and crows are very smart birds and also caring and affectionate
he may have been introduced to the wrong humans at first, but he definitely ended up with the right humans who can show him the love and respect he deserves. Such a clever boy :')
If only humans would be as forgiving maybe then we could all live in peace. Such a beautiful relationship you two have.
GWAH!!! He is a stunning bird. I love ravens, they are so smart.
Loki, the God of mischief . A Fitting and a cool name.
You've made a huge difference in his life. Now he can live happily again. Great work!
And make a huge difference in your life !
And make a huge difference in your life !
That's so sad that the man was abandoned, thankfully the raven found him.
GWAH Dangit he's awesome! Ravens are super smart & charismatic birds, it's actually insane what they're able to be taught & pick up on their own by just observing us ETC. Glad he's got a forever home and family that lets him live his best life & know what it's liked to be loved/appreciated 👍
Lokis shows a great example of forgiveness and healing that hoomans would need to work towards.
The most gratifying thing in this world is gaining an animal's trust
Awwwww, he so handsome! Thank you for saving him and letting him know that all humans are not bad. ❤🩹
Loki, that's an excellent name for a Raven.
We also think so, the perfect name.
Smartest bird in the world. Ravens and crows.
Captive bred raven is so wrong right there.
I appreciate that Loki has caring caretakers now who truly love him and help him heal, to be more content and feel safe, yet free.
Raven has the freedom to go away but just comes back. It's too late to join orhers.Would not servive out there. No skills at all.
It's so nice a raven took care of a man after he was abandoned and mistreated.
Such nice bird
GWAH! Elliot is the man, thanks for giving this birdie boy a great life now.
These beautiful birds are smarter than most humans.
Well maybe not most, but a good number of them.
Ah corvids.. my no.1 fav birds of all time.
They’re incredible.
What awesome guy to dedicate so much of his time to help out an animal in need & not giving up no matter the struggles
You're a good man and I appreciate the love and support that you provide these Ravens'. I wish for all people to have loving hearts for all animals. Thank you for your wonderful compassion and care!
... i wish for all people . . .
I'm with You on this 😉☮️🖖🏻
I feed wild crows and ravens, plus other wild birds and deer. They're beautiful, intelligent, and funny. And treat me every day with their songs. I am happy you made a mate for life. Lots of love to Loki.
This is a really kind comment. Thanks for watching their story 💜 @Ghost OneWolf
Have the Ravens left you any gifts? I saw a few ravens in my neighborhood by the lake. I wish I had some fruit on me to give them but I was empty handed. I know they remember kindness and become friends with people who treat them well. Very unique, very intelligent birds.
Thank you for having the kindness and patience to show him a different world.
Your kindness is overwhelming. If only humans were so towards other humans regardless of skin color, religious beliefs or economical status this Earth would be paradise. But at this moment I settled for a kind man being kind to a breathing soul with feathers 🌎🙏
GWAH...he is beautiful.
Always have loved Ravens. Mysterious wonder of this world.
❤️
When you befriend a Corvid, you befriend not just one bird, but a whole flock.
We feel like that’s the best part of it 😍
If I had a crow or raven as a pet, I would name it 'Nineteen'. Eventually, someone might get it, and most likely not find it funny! 🫣🙄
Fun fact: a flock of ravens is also called unkindness
Two visit me everyday. I can always spot them flying far away because one has a leg that sticks out even when flying. They watch me from a tree outside my windows. They are stoked for corn chips and other stuff I throw out in different directions so one can’t monopolize it and stack up a giant mouthful. Haha they are funny and smart. I know because they look me right in the eyes and some animals don’t focus that way.
So nice from a raven to show simpathy for that abandoned and mistreated man. We can learn so much from animals.😢
We can learn so so much from animal if we get to know them ♥️
Looks like Loki has the right human in his life now.❤️❤️
I wonder what "Gwah" means in raven-speak.
Gwah!
This is heartwarming. Ravens are so smart. I'm glad he has gotten over his trauma.
It's very refreshing someone knows the difference between Ravens and Crows. So many youtubers call Ravens Crows. The beak is different much like the difference between Trout and Salmon.
Only timid and superstitious folk are afraid of Ravens and Crows. These birdfolk are Beautiful and Intelligent. Enjoy their presence 😊
Elliot did an amazing job, showed knowledge and empathy. Kudos to Elliot and love to him and the glossy boii
Ravens make fun pets because they are so smart and can talk.
Aptly named Raven ,Loki the trickster, from Norse mythology. He's gorgeous .
... clever enough ?
Shure !
but with good, loving, honest 🤔 beings
around there is no need for
" trickster-ing" . . .
I'd pick THIS Loki everytime 😅
Crows and Ravens NEVER cease to amaze me. I just love them.
You need to give this bird more credit than what you do, no disrespect. They are so intelligent and understand a lot more than you think they know.!
The raven is the most beautiful bird ever
They’re so gorgeous and so clever!
I agree completely
Tell me does Kate Bush have one as a pet...
They are so intelligent .What a fabulous family he now has! That they
are letting him live his life as he wants is beautiful. 🥰
GWAH! Thank you for loving one of these beautiful intelligent birds!
Loki is a beautiful bird. So happy he is there with you living his best life.
What a sweet and intelligent bird! Just beautiful.
What an honor to be loved by such a majestic bird...so lovely...
Oh my god this is brilliant. I think it's incredible this guy took him in and rehabilitated Loki mentally. I love his name. To see him basically hug this guy, is so cool and so touching. He really found the nest human in the world that would give him the attention he deserves. So brilliant.
GWAH! That was really heartwarming. I've always loved birds, and corvids in particular.
It's interesting that the way you deal with grieving animals happens to be similar to the way you deal with animals that distrust people and with animals that are wild too. They just like company, no obstructive behaviours. They like being spoke to even if they don't understand. They like getting attention so long as it's warranted and they absolutely love free food.
thanks for your kindness
Aw, so cute, a very special relationship. God bless them
❤❤❤❤ thank you for saving this beautiful Raven
GWAH! I'm so glad they're are people like this man in the world. If only there were more. Thank you, sir.
I so appreciate your kindness to Loki. What a beautiful story. I've always felt an affinity with crow birds of any sort & the thought that someone hurt Loki, really breaks my heart. SO GLAD he ended up with you & that you are so kind. Thank you for healing him.
This is lovely thank you 🤗
@@CuddleBuddiesChannel Absolutely. Such a kind person & such a special character Loki is.
☺️❤️🖖🏻
He's wonderful! Your so kind to bring him love and a decent home! I wish all humans were so compassionate towards our animal brothers and sisters! Thank you for sharing this!
GWAH! and Cheers Loki ❤️
Gwah
Thank you so much for being kind to him.
I’ll never understand why people mistreat animals. The same things should be done to them and see how they like it!
Nice.Crows & ravens are very smart birds.
Can definitely see why Odin had two of these magnificent birds.
I love the fact that he's free. Great. Some ass... could LEARN something from this. ANYWAY...👍
I Love that he has freedom to fly at will and clearly knows where home is. ❤️
❤️😘❤️
What a good person to sit with this awesome raven for an hour ❤
"Gwoh" to Loki.
Always.
Just loving his life with his buddy.
Good on you Loki and Elliot
The only way to keep a bird, free flying. I have been offered birds, but, they were caged, for years, and I had to say no....dogs? Free flying♡♡♡!!
GWAH! Beautiful Loki! 🖤
What a great rescue. I love birds and its so great to see that this lovely bird is living his best life. Bravo.
Its life would be way better if it had been born wild into a family of ravens.
He's absolutely beautiful!
That's a lovely uplifting story and a great ending for this crow. Having an animal companion like this can make a huge difference to the human condition
Sure can! So good for our mental well being. 💜
... maybe just by giving a different perspective ?
... but You have to be one of those ... certain? rare? special? humans to be able to "see" their fear, to "feel" their needs . . . but then again, maybe you allready tried you gift on
" " humans " "
😘
Kindness rewards the giver as much as the receiver. Well done for changing his life.
GWAH!
It warms my heart to know there are people like you out there who give animals the love they deserve. 🥰
He is beautiful wish you both have a long and happy life
Such a smart bird. You are so fortunate to live with him. 💙🦅😊
A Raven is about the Coolest Pet a person can have so Patiently love your ❤Raven! Raven’s are very smart birds!
Oh my my my my myyyyyyyyyyyyy what a cute bundle of mischievousness of a feathery fur baby birdie is thisss. He is precious and adorable. Love his innocent eyes full of wonder and intelligence. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍.
Whoever makes fun about the brains of birds and make them to look like none intelligent are the dumb one's.
How sweet, he’s worth all your attention.
Proud of you both. GWAH!
Thank you , Elliot. So much. Wish I knew you & Loki. ❤️🇺🇸
Gwah! As many as you wish! I adore ravens and your patience is beautiful! 😆❤️😆
I loved that Loki gets to fly off when he feels like it- it's a risk, but when he comes back, it's his choice!
Great work bringing him around, mate! A little patience and kindness works wonders.
So nice of that bird to befriend that poor abandoned and neglected man
*Gwah* 🥰🥰 Met Loki in October and although a little bit wary of strangers, totally understandably, he was an absolute pleasure.
Aw you are so lucky! How was that experience! 😍😍
@@CuddleBuddiesChannel brilliant :) My wife bought me it for my birthday. We had about 20 minutes with Loki, he came to the glove I was wearing and generally pottered about making some of his famous noises. The handler was really friendly and we were delighted to meet the famous boi up close!
You are not only an intelligent caretaker but a kind hearted human being also. That bird will bless you for eternity . God bless you.🤗
