  • One of the buttonhole flowers by the epic and eclectic "LOW", futuristic Rock album; a reflection on the desperate search for love; one of the most measured and perfect performance of Bowie's voice.

I love the fact that he sang in his accent.

Yeah, I think he accentuated that more in the later stages of his live career, I like that

In Italy we say "it's like the parmesan and the ham: more matures and more is good" ... LOL
Thank you for sharing: even I appreciate this simplicity, that, indeed, is only apparent ...

Used to dream he would sing this song to me some day...."Sometimes you get so lonely". We all feel a little lonelier without you in this World...

Bowie, like Alice Cooper, has always surrounded himself with the best guitar players--I mean, some guys who can really shred!

This song sounds to me as a plea to end the loneliness he was feeling by a request for marriage. David has so many avenues to his being. He's one of the most interesting persons I've ever read about. and the most loved by me. He's terrific and I love him. Thank you so much my friend for the video. I always enjoy.

I like how David Bowie is singing this song and actually has the wife he was pleading when he wrote this song. Awesome

This song was a... basically a cry out to Angie... :/ she was ignorant though and chose not to engage with the meaning...

    Thanks to you!
This of "Low" is perhaps the most conventional song, but I think it's a shining musical gem: the instrumental exposure, the setting of voice detached and cold, are features that make really a highly evocative song, as it enters the Soul.

With "LOW" Bowie gave a shock to the world of rock music, once again: "ambient" experimenter and precursor, he mixed every kind of style in a poetic atmosphere of "low pressure" with great mastery, portrayed in this album towards admirable heights.
Thank you for having watched and ... for timeliness ... (Not yet was finished processing by YT, ha ha, how fast, darling!).

Also in this song Bowie is clearly honest, with these few immediate words, launched as desperate cry for help, in very difficult times ...
An epic Funk-Rock of an album that was originally called "New Music Day and Night", belonging to the "Berlin Trilogy", about which he said that there was his essence most complete, his DNA.
Anguish and despair, but also the beginning of what has been his rebirth and not just of a total Artist.
    Many thanks to you.

"many avenues to his being"... I think so, although DB wanted to express in "LOW" awesomeness of loneliness, of alienation, of disorientation. How, moreover, it was always a pining for future with all his compositions. But it's also the mysterious charm of this great artist.
    Thank you, my dear friend.

Fantastic artist, great band and great version! But I think I prefer the album version and Bowie with the guitar and the 20 meter cord!!! Not sure if that is the correct word, but I am pretty sure you all know what I mean!!!

    Really ?!... strange (LOL)
But here it appears that there is not a simple request for a marriage, maybe also some small complication ... (But I'm kidding).
However, few women would refuse to answer this desolate and melancholy confession, especially if presented with his fascinating music.
Thanks for the funny comment: to smile with David is spontaneous, isn't it ?!

    @Scoobydoonut
I think a great Artist reveals his work as something that is extremely simple, so much it seems born in the moment, but I also think that the work of art (like the sculptor must dig his invisible idea freeing it from the surplus marble, to give it a material form) is long and well thought out, until his most intimate essence.
For this reason I particularly like the last Bowie: as a whole was able to give a face to his artistic essence, a true finishing touch.
    Thanks a lot.

Fab toon. Why so many on stage? Too many swamps the toon. So many in their more mature years seem to think more is better but, it's just not the case.
