Another fabulous vlog guys! I never tire of Peter's food enjoyment face 😋. Turkey's Mediterranean coast is so gorgeous with the sea, the sun, the sound of cicadas etc. And the ever present watchful cats everywhere around Turkey 🇹🇷 ❤️
Thanks Daryl! Hahah you can really tell when he enjoys something 😂 He's good at poker, but he has no poker face when it comes to food 😂😂😂 Yesss the Mediterranean sea is gorgeous and the cats really are adorable ❤️❤️❤️ Hope you're having a good week!
@@PeterandYen oh yes, that face! 🤣. Really loving your journey. You'd love the feral cats in Oman with their gorgeous slinky features, although they are hard as nails.
Fethiye was formerly known as Makri (Greek: Μάκρη). Modern Fethiye is located on the site of the ancient city of Telmessos, the ruins of which can be seen in the city, e.g. the Hellenistic theatre by the main quay. A legend explains the source of the name Telmessos as follows: The god Apollo falls in love with the youngest daughter of the King of Phoenicia, Agenor. He disguises himself as a small dog and thus, gains the love of the shy, withdrawn daughter. After he reappears as a handsome man, they have a son, who they name 'Telmessos' (the land of lights). Telmessos joined the Athenean-Delos Union (Delian League) established in mid-5th century BC. and, although it later left the union and became an independent city, it continued its relations with the union until the 4th century BC. GREECE everywhere in Minor Asia!!!
Watching your YT reminds me of Turkish food when we in Turkey on late September, especially the Turkish Kababas😋😋 Thanks for sharing, another good job 😍🥰
First of all, thanks to young couple. Just within couple of days we have watched your 4 videos of TURKEY. Very informative , the best part is that how to reach into the designated place. We are expecting much more like, which month is best to visit there and if course the cost as you have already mentioned in your Vlog. Really appreciate.
I think the best part of this video was when Peter tried kunefe/knafeh. Oh man, that's probably our most favourite middle eastern dessert. Underneath the pistachio is a pastry called kataifi, and usually in the middle between the kataifi dough, they either put cheese or cream. Both versions are delicious! I am salivating just thinking about it!
Ok I think I am finally up to date on your videos! Awww that food opening was so good, made me hungry! Yeah still wonder how ancient structures like that have been constructed! Wow no one there, maybe it was free day! Yeah 200 steps and later in the evening when cooler definitely a good idea! Wow what a legend that story, transformed into a puppy, is that what you said? Yeah must have taken years to carve out the tombs! Interesting that the washing machine was right in the kitchen! Well done on the air conditioning once again! Yeah that kebab Peter looked really good and yeah great meat a must! Yeah was cool trees over the shops there! Shame those others were under renovations but at least you got out to adventure! heck the toys at the street market were so cool! Well just another great job on this one and yeah, finally caught up on your videos!
Hahaha thank you! Now you got Pamukkale 💙😆 yea nah the guy must've just been taking a break but we totally could've left without paying but wouldn't have felt right to 😅 yep a puppy lol quite a famous mythology! We found that in Turkey it's pretty common to have the washing machine in the kitchen especially for apartments! Interesting isn't it 😆
Really nice breakfast vlog for me, the harbor town with a chill feel to it, the Pasa restaurant, (1) Peter’s food 🥘 barometer- must be close of 8 out of 10😋😋; and (2) the place must be an old building @12.08 the thickness of the wall. Thanks both and have a great week
You were sooo close to Dalyan! In that parking we have parked our van and spend the night for the same price 😁 Love how much you love history. Fethiye, Antalya and in general all this area has become super expensive as well. There is a massive migration wave that is making many cities and areas incredibly expensive. Let's see what happens in the future. You got my favorite dessert, kunefe! My mouth waters just thinking about it. That cheese is sooo delish Incredible view point, never been up there, will give it a try as soon as the crazy winds stop.
History is so interesting 😁 I've been watching the prices of property in Kas especially because we've been considering that as a place to live. But houses are selling super quick and prices keep going up 🥲
@@PeterandYen yes, i think it's better to wait a bit. They just stopped all residency permits for Russians this past month, so that should regulate the influx and hopefully prices.
Even though both your meals looked yummm…can’t believe you guys passed up on a chance to get Turkish Chinese food 😁😁… since you guys have been back to NZ, which dish/meal do you get random flashbacks of and find yourself missing most? Yay for 🐐😁😁!! Looked like a relaxing mellow day with one last hoorah with the car….hope you guys are well and looking forward to the next one!
Hahahah tbh we didn't have high hopes for the chinese food 😂😂 reminds us how lucky we are living in Auckland! I think it's probably the pide for us.. from the nice lil local neighbourhood store and the friendly family ❤️ Food was also cheap but delicious! Total comfort food. Also after 3 months in Turkey, we felt like that place still made it best! We're almost near the end of our Turkey videos now.. only a handful left to share.. the time has just flown by! Did Peter tell you about all his surgeries since we've been back? 😅
Yes he's all good thanks! And yeah there were those and a more recent one.. he had an unsightly cyst growing on his neck so had it cut out the other day. He currently has some zombie looking stitches and is loving it 😂😂 Dr said it's definitely just a cyst and nothing dangerous but they've sent it off for biopsy just in case anyway 👍🙂
@@PeterandYen glad to hear he is doing ok… man, after Turkey it’s been cut after cut after cut for Peter…and that’s just all the editing he’s been doing… yikes, that was bad…. Seriously though.. glad he’s taking care of those things and hoping for a perfect recovery (and no more surgeries)
😂😂😂 I dunno, I think you were pretty sharp with that one hahaha 😆 but thank you! Glad he's getting all this stuff done while we're back home. Hope all your medical stuff has been positive? 🙏 Haven't asked in awhile but hoping no news is good news! 🤞🤞
I love all those handmade toys. I bought a few dolls when we were in I think South Island market. I blame u guys, u make me wanna eat turkish sweet so badly now. Lucky we will be in Perth in 2 weeks time. That sweet Peter had look so delish 😋
Kas was one of our favorite places in the region though it was quite small. It has a charming feel to it. We've even considered moving there for a while 😅 so we'll be a bit biased with this answer.

Interesting little town with its share of history. Good video, guys.
It's normally more an adventure sport kinda place too but we went for the historical side of things 🙂
thanks for the wonderful videos! I would like to look at these buildings in the rock more and in more detail. very interesting. Thank you.

What were your thoughts of Fethiye. I'm traveling from Antalya to Fethiye. Should I stay more time in Fethiye than Kas?
Kas was one of our favorite places in the region though it was quite small. It has a charming feel to it. We've even considered moving there for a while 😅 so we'll be a bit biased with this answer.
To add though, if you're into more adventure activities like paragliding Fethiye is a popular spot for that 🙂 also has a lot of historical ruins.
I'm living in there
Awesome! Where's your fave place to hang out in Fethiye? 🙂

Hello. We are travel agency in Fethiye. If anybody would like to book tours or activities, we can help. Thank you.🤗
