Hello Ron. Thank you so very much for an excellent introduction to Selcuk. I am planning a pilgrimage to the Tomb of St. John and of course, to the House of Blessed Mary, and will be staying in Selcuk, so I found your presentation extremely useful and sympathetically presented. I always travel through Asian Turkey by way of the excellent TCDD trains and look forward to alighting soon at Selcuk railway station. Definitely a 'jumping off place' as you say. Brilliant, my friend.
Thanks for the kind note Ruokh! Traveling for me is a great privilege. And hearing from people who appreciate what I try to convey is a great joy. Have a wonderful time in Selcuk!
I visited Selcuk on rhe back of watching this video. The market is truely the highlight in the town and people were so welcoming and friendly. Thank you for your recommendation, I will certainly revisit if i get the opportunity.
Same here Dilek! I was going to let you know that the video was published but realized I didn't have your Instagram or email. I'm so glad you were able to see it!
Dear Ron, what an incredible cool place, Thanks so much for making this video. I have been myself to Selcuk and Ephesus but never filmed. In preparation I came across your video and love it, thanks so much for this work. I totally agree with you it is a beatiful town and time wisely spent there. By the way had there once in a restaurant close to the train station the best lahmacun of my life :-) Really appreciate your work and happy to see that you had a great time! Best wishes Marc
Thanks Marc and I'm so glad you enjoyed the Selcuk-Ephesus area as much as I did. You didn't mention Sirince so don't know if you checked it out, but if you didn't you should if you go back.
@@OUTBOUNDWITHRON Thanks so much Ron for your comment and your time! Appreciate it, no I have been there a couple of years ago in Winter, i remember it was freezing cold and want to return now in Summer to Sirince as it is not that far away. I can see you really enjoyed this area of Turkey, Amazing and please keep posting your videos as they are so great Ron. Thank you and have a wonderful day!
It's impossible not to love a Fortress. Period 😅😂. Really nice tour around Selcuk! If we ever visit Turkey we Will certainly visit this city. It's amazing. A curch built on order of justinian the first and also the burial place of apostle John? I Mean, that's any history nerds' dream to visit that! Greetings from Belgium 😁
Hi Jeannie! Yes I'm the cameraman for all the video that you see, including video of myself. I must travel light so unfortunately I didn't buy any spices in Turkey.
Hi Birgul! Yes, my referring to Selcuk as a town shoudn't be taken as a diminishment. Of course it's a city, but city and town are interchangeable descriptors for cities as well as towns in many contexts. Thank Frank Sinatra singing: "Chicago is my kind of town." So it's no put down of Selcuk, which as you know if you saw the video, I really really like.
I’m so happy I found your channel! Great work, Mr Ron! I hope to be a world traveler like yourself! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Nice.
Hi from Czech republic.
Hi to you Jiri! Glad you liked the video!
@@OUTBOUNDWITHRON i have been there. Back packing. Really nice
Love your travels. Are you also the camera man?
Hi Jeannie! Yes I'm the cameraman for all the video that you see, including video of myself. I must travel light so unfortunately I didn't buy any spices in Turkey.
Did you miss the House of Mary?
Yes, Mary, I missed it. Sometimes it happens that I can't visit all the sites I want to see when I visit a place. Thanks for asking.
@@OUTBOUNDWITHRON sure on my side, that is exactly why I'm going there.😊
It’s not a town it’s a city btw
