Broooo you earned a sub for this vid. Was thinking of getting an x pro 2 for a long time and now I found the perfect lens to match with it. Yesss
@@Victorbattaglia_music go for that! It’s epic and you’ll enjoy it a lot
Exactly. A good surprise ❤
Wow amazing quality from that lens!
Great images! Lovely color! I have been thinking more and more about this lens but hesitating because I am not practiced at manual focus, but these all look lovely so I guess you didn’t feel you “lost the moment” very much?
Hey mate. I’m using manual lenses a lot so I feel very confident with them. Using focus peaking is a bliss (even with old cameras like this one). I think you should give this lens a go!!
The only downside for me was using it on cameras with larger grips (I now own only x-h-series of Fujifilm) so a longer lens would be easier to use. But a part from that… that lens is gold
Excellent! This makes me feel more excited about it!
@@lucapellizzaro80 That sounds great! I have an x-t30 and its grip is tiny, so I should be set! Thanks for the encouragement, I'm going to go for it!
Thanks for sharing.
Why did you choose Kodak Portra 160 film simulation?
The X-Pro2 does not have a Kodak Portra 160 film simulation in its menu. How did you select this option?
Hey. Thanks for watching! No particular reason but I’m a big fan of Classic Chrome so I like to try all of the variations I can find
@@lucapellizzaro80
Thanks!
So you actually used Classic Chrome and not Kodak Portra 160 film simulation.
@@Narsuitus no. The Kodak film sims are based on the classic chrome and then pushed.
@@lucapellizzaro80
Kodak Portra 160 was a color negative film. I used it for weddings and portraits.
Kodak Chrome was a color transparency film. I used it for medical and scientific images.
How do you modify the high contrast Fuji classic chrome simulation to make it look like a lower contrast portrait simulation?
great video! thanks for it. how has your experience been with the lens for low light street photography ? i ask for london specific places where there is less light :)
Hey, thanks for the appreciation. I think the lens is good for low light if you crank up a little bit ISO and if you don't mind a little bit of "vintagy" noise. Next week i'll try to take some pics at night and will let you know!
@@lucapellizzaro80 Thanks would appreciate that! i loove the look of it. I'm just a bit ( maybe incorrectly ) concerned about manual focus in such cases. I'm also looking at the 18mm
Does the lens communicate with the Xpro2?
Yes it does! You can have EXIF datas in your files
No. Not with the x-pro2. Too old.
@@mrboultit does indeed.
@@lucapellizzaro80 are you sure? You've tried it? The Voigtlander website says not to that camera, and my X-E3 doesn't.
Intresting. Maybe kaizen updates?
