1981 my aunt gave me a '68 Charger for my 18th Bday, but I'd signed up for the Marines, so after thanking her a million times for such a huge and amazing gift, I told her I could not keep it, at least until I completed my 4 years, then I could be sure to take care of it like it should be. While in the Marines, her and my uncle divorced and went their own ways. I felt bad for her and never did ask about the Charger again thinking she needed it. You reminded me of that, Robby, so thanks! I have great memories of that time, my aunt and uncle, and the Charger.
I'm glad dinner is always thier idk why but I feel like this has changed his life and made him alot more happier glad he has good true friends like y'all.
You can tell the people around Robby respect and care for him. That was created long before UA-cam. I personally hope this crew never stops filming its very entertaining and informative 👍
I hope the folks from Rokon are watching this. I had never heard of Rokon before this project, and I hate motorcycles, but now I want one of these. I don't want a new one, I want one like this. It seems to me this could build interest in their project, and maybe they need to go back to the well and make one just like this. I can see these being hugely useful on a small farm.
I finally went and watched the crew from Matt’s off road recovery get the golden nugget from where it was “parked” for 40+ years. Holy crap! It was a hard and intense recovery ! I applaud Matt and his crew for doing this job

Robby, you did an EXCELLENT job painting the Jr. Nugget frame! It's super-hard to get a coat of metallic/candy and clear to look even, and with no runs. Again, excellent job, and thanks for all you're doing for Ed! ✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦

center drills are dirt cheap on ebay and really good for drilling small holes in thin material.. they do not break as easily as small drill bits will, plus they chamfer the hoels because of the shape of the drill.

painting frames in my life of spray cans is very much harder than painting flat surfaces. I always get runs, probably get runs on the flat surfaces too. You have skill and patience to make it right.
I just brush paint frames at this point. Most quality paints level out surprisingly well and look good. Spraying propels most of the paint everywhere but the frame.

Have you thought about using a can of rust converter with an extension nozzle to treat the inside of forks, since they were full of rusty water? Info for next time on welding and brazing. A decent gas weld on mild steel is a 70,000 pound weld. On clean metal like you have, with good rod like you showed, a decent braze is good for 60,000 pounds. Good enough for what you are doing. Love the build, keep up the great work.

I've often wondered what percentage of the paint spray actually goes onto the metal and what % goes into thin air.
It took 56 ounces of base coat and realistically about half of that made it on the surface
@@RobbyLayton at least the exhaust fan blades are getting that love as well. Nice work sir!
When painting tubes and cage like things there is a lot of over spray in order to get coverage. Bigger surfaces will have less over spray.
