Not even joking I was straight hoping this game was gonna have all the content from the last game and more. Not entirely all but like at least the builds maybe a few nostalgia heists. I really want the game to make a comeback as well bro. It’s fun but these edge grit shit isn’t it man ngl with you
I don't play payday 3 or 2 at the moment however I decided to watch a couple of your newest vids to check on the sate of the franchise I once loved... honestly seeing the difference in how cheerful and excited you used to sound when playing payday 2 to the sheer monotony and hesitancy in your voice during payday 3 videos is heart breaking. I remember how excited you were when you became a starbreeze partner so im praying this game gets the fixes it so desperately needs to improve
i appreciate you sharing some fun build combos youve uncovered. so far my only builds toggle between sharpshooter and gunslinger as my main sources of edge, keeping every other skill pretty much the same
This comment was written before watching the video My personal favorite builds at the moment are: An Assassin Dodge build centered around single-plate armor and SMGs (and the Northwest, which is basically an SMG with how its stats look) And a build mimicking Payday 2 (Intimidating, adaptive armor, armor up/plate up (whichever is the ammo one) and mixing between Mower and Enforcer, while maxing out medic bags and transporter) that naturally drops the Red Fox in favor of the Piglet (I live dangerously with that one, point blank cloaker disintegrations hurt, but DAMN are they worth it
My latest build is a shotgun one where I get all the bonus damage I can (from Edge + marked & stunned) to ensure 1-shots. I use flashbangs to mark groups of enemies and I keep one alive to grab & throw them to refill my 1-plate armor (I like that armor the most because I like going fast, and I like that it regens in less than 3 seconds out of combat if you pick Tank, it feels the most like PD2 armor to me). If you use the Reinfield 880 with this build, you need ammo funnel, but if you use the FSA-12, you don't need it as much, since the reload speed is much faster. You can reload while in cover and let your armor's red damage heal up before going back in. Just don't wait too long before using the grab & throw trick because it won't work if your chunk is broken.
You’ve caused me to buy payday 2, then PD3 and THEN HD2. Thank you!!! I don’t know what to comment but I always love watching your videos, would be funny if you made a gtfo video but im not sure you would enjoy it. I really do respect how you’ve held on to PD3 for so long. Anywayd keep up the good work funny britsh man
@@Kirbizard exactly, and i dont blame anybody for thinking as such. Payday 3 just cant hold a candle to what payday 2 had. That being said i still love the game, and i can find it pleasantly enjoyable at times. Using kknowley's builds is definitely gonna give me a challenge to keep playing. Been using the sniper builds for most of my pd3 playtime, so seeing that first MG build is actually kinda interesting to me. Need to get this MG leveled up lol.
Hey, i enjoyed the video thank you very much. I've been running some versions of some of these and never thought about others, so this will give me a few things to experiment with. I am primarily an online player, so i am always looking for builds that work in both stealth and loud. I would love to see your ideas how to make decent loud builds when you have significantly less skill points because of hacker, scrambler, grifter, infiltrator, etc.
The only ways you can use to cure your Payday 3 depression are; -Going back to Payday 2 -Playing Crime Boss Rockay City -Playing GTA 5 Heists -Quitting this genre all together
I chose the last option as I've spent countless hours in all of the above. Sad to see it go. Just waiting for Den of Wolves I suppose at this point, I rock and stone now at DRG.
@@WildWombats i wish i could enjoy DRG, but i just cant. Love the community, and the memes that come from it, but i cant play the game... partly some bad memories, and partly a lack of teammates to play the game with
@@NamelessVex personally, of course this is me and you very well may be different, but I am a solo player by nature usually anyways, and for the longest time I played DRG solo only. Then one day I decided to brave it up and play MP. I never looked back since. In my 300+ hours so far, I've only had maybe 1 or 2 bad matches ever with someone bad. Most people do not voice chat, of all my matches maybe 2 or 3 have even spoken with voice chat in a pub lobby. This game encourages teamwork, so you'll find if you play solo, you'll be often taking 2-4x as long as if you had just played mp. I recommend Haz 2-3 and stay on that difficulty for a long while until you're promoted or comfortable. It's not bad playing random pub lobbies like it is in many other games, because I avoided that for the same reason for so long until I found out how loving and great the online community is in DRG. Maybe worth giving another crack if it's been a while. One more point, until you're promoted, you haven't unlocked everything. And even past promotion you continue to unlock new things.
recently came back to payday, bought the $60 version of it as preorder so got the heists for free. So far fun, but eventually prob gon hit the end where I have a load out n stick with it n then it’s just tryna reach infamy so my biggest issue is THE GOD DAM FILTER PLAYS, whole ass load out to go stealth n then it’s ppl who are ready for war
The assassin skill tree I made a old-skill silent killer build with marking enemies I take extra damage about 30% if it was under the right circumstances
Hey Knowley im trying to replicate the hostage build but I am finding it hard to get some damage with a pistol that isn’t the new revolver, do you have any recommendations ?
I actually like the system BUT the system feels like it should be an add on for the actual system. They just need to add weapon specific skills, something like perk decks that create a specific play style and rethink the overkill system (buffs, resources, support like the sniper guy in payday 2, or the REALLY big guns ).
I was so dissapointed with PayDay3 that I bought Raid WW2 now that it's on sale. And honestly it's better. Skill System and Weapon Challenges that are fun.
I got Raid too, but it's more of a neat distraction than something I'll get attached to, personally. It's fun in that janky Diesel Engine way, and the WW2 setting makes it fresh, but it doesn't have Payday's music and the guns have no weight. It's a nice game to have for variety though. I reinstalled Killing Floor 1 for the same reason, that game still goes hard.
I mean it doesn't help that a ton of the stuff in the game isn't explained or noted, like, at all, which makes builds way more difficult to make. Like I'm willing to bet maybe 10% of people even know that smokes work via line of sight and you don't have to be in them to get the bonus.
You're not really beating the "paydaytubers don't actually play the game" allegations when you include dead skills like combat marking on the LMG assassin build. The 20% extra damage doesn't change any break points for the MX or bullkick, and it'd be much better spent on something like Threat Assessment, Tactician Aced, etc.
Ah yes, the classic "you don't play this game enough because your build has a skill I disagree with argument.". I expressly do not know the specific breakpoints for weapons that aren't one-shot killers, because Payday 3 is actively awful at conveying that information. However, when I see a skill with a clear and interesting synergy, I'm inclined to pick it up. Dozers exist, damage falloff exists and multiple people shooting at the same target occurs. If you're telling me a 20% damage buff is meaningless on an LMG in this game, the skill system is even worse than I thought.
Just like in PD2 certain skills do not break certain breakpoints, would you need to take BE on a DMR setup with 100% zerk? The only point that is brought up Dozers. They go from 28 visor shots to 22, so I guess that's it, y'all. point debunked. There is a slight provblem with the skills, but people just do not take time to understand them. Much like in 2017 PD2 OD meta.
Tbf I recently went back to payday 2 and even though it’s the superior game it’s hard to enjoy it without some of the QOL improvements that Payday 3 has.
