Been using the CKX Tranz in the arctic for about 5 years now, if you want a full modular at a really good price for colder weather this is the best helmet I've found. Keep in mind the retractable tinted visor will collect moisture and freeze over in about 15 minutes on a -10*C day or colder and you won't be able to use it. This helmet is functional and has saved my noggin twice from really hard hits.
Seems like a good design I always use full face helmets. I know a lot of people like modular helmets and I understand why but god forbid if you get in an accident a full face helmet gives you more protection trust me I know from experience.
I wish the Mission had a better quality Lense.. made in China very expensive for the quality. also the channel for glasses is in the wrong place. The Chin Curtain does work well .
The channel is not for glasses. The low friction pad that shows the image of the glasses is where the glasses are supposed to go.. not on top of the cheek pads.. aim lower! Also all electric shields are made in China and mostly from one MFG. The Mission does actually have a high quality lens but, like all brands, there can be duds from the factory for sure.
Stay away from this company altogether...they bait you with extra warranty to get you to sign up for their mailing list and when you do have an issue, you'll get an email response "we don't deal with customers directly..." For the premium you pay for this helmet, there must be customer support. Dealers have little to no interest in dealing with helmet warranty issues. I bought two of them ($2000) for my wife and myself for Christmas and was given the" We don't deal with customers... " email. You're not BRP CKX! You need someone on the other end of the emails servicing customer needs!
I think it is awesome that they require you to go back to the dealer whom you bought it from. That is where the relationship should be in my opinion. You still get a 3 year warranty if you do not want to register for their marketing... which is still a great warranty!
@@jamesmullen75 5 years if you register the helmet but don't bother them about warranty, they don't deal with customers. These are $1000 helmets and no customer service. Dealers have zero interest in dealing with warranty claims. So you get ghosted by CKX and the people that sell CKX. Any motorcycle helmet manufacturer treated its customers like this and they'd be out of business!

Bought the Contact, but the lack of top and/or rear vents is a big minus. There is only ONE vent (mouth).

Best helmet I have ever used hands down and best heated goggles in the industry
@@let_it_ride9216 None of that matters if there's no warranty should they fail.

@@BlueRage There is up to a 5 year warranty.. not sure what you are talking about.
