  • In this video we take our first trip up to the cabin this winter. We have had a lot of snow, we are going to break trail in and clear any fallen trees.

    You need to get one of those fans that sit in the wood stove and work by the heat. That will help warm that big beauty of a cabin faster

    had to leave just as the cabin got warmed up, darn shame. Thanks for sharing.

    Great vid . Them generators if the gas isn't shut off the float bounces and floods the crankcase . Like old polaris sleds on the trailer ..lol

      Yeah I’ve thought of that but haven’t had a problem yet, I did leave 2 bags of dog food on the deck a couple yrs ago when I was bear baiting up there, I never found the bags🤷‍♂️

    I have a random question, how does someone get a cabin like this? How would you search for a remote place/ where could you buy remote land?? Always wondered

    • @diyalaskanlifestyle
      @diyalaskanlifestyle  2 роки тому

      Alaska has remote land auctions, that is how a lot of remote land becomes available. For non remote land the state opened for homesteading large parcels back in the 60’s and has been broken up into smaller parcels

    900 ace naturally aspirated correct? If so, would you change anything? Would you need more power? Like… Turbo r.

    • @diyalaskanlifestyle
      @diyalaskanlifestyle  Рік тому

      For back and forth to the cabin and pulling it’s perfect. If your looking to run in deep snow all the time I’d look into the expedition extreme. My cousin has the extreme with the 850 and it is night and day difference. I kinda wish I had the extreme then I could prob get by without my mountain sled

    Who makes that black sleigh that looks like folded plastic?

    • @diyalaskanlifestyle
      @diyalaskanlifestyle  Рік тому

      I’m not sure who built this sled. There is several people building them and really not that hard to build your self if you have access to a metal brake. Search uhmw sleds on google

    What do you suppose causes the crankcase to fill with gas on the Honda generator?

    • @diyalaskanlifestyle
      @diyalaskanlifestyle  2 роки тому

      I’m guessing the float valve didn’t seat and allowed tank to gravity to crank case

    • @GYPSY400
      @GYPSY400 Рік тому

      @diyalaskanlifestyle do you store it with the main switch on "off" ? The big switch cuts the fuel and the ignition so it shouldn't fill the engine with gas.
